TJ555 The Golfer, here’s a personally engraved invitation to take a hike.
Sir, I’m a fairly laid back kind of guy. I read posts, and I call ‘em as I see ‘em. You. . . you have chipped at my patience for the last time. I won’t go so far as to call you a “troll” (yet), but I fully intend to drag you through the mud. . .
With a littany of cheese-dick, pointless threads, you ask mundane questions with hardly a redeeming value, and further your stupidity with:
This thread, where you suggest that a drug-smuggling flight attendant – who you assume to be female – be decorated for attmeting to drug a 19-month old infant into quieting down.
In this thread, you propose the placing wagers on how many American lives are lost in this impending Iraqi conflict. I am not about to debate the merits of this conflict, however I will tell you that I’m sure a lot of people consider you a complete waste of bandwidth – scratch that – a complete waste of time. You royally pissed me off with this particular thread, as if I am some pawn in your geeky little game in which to trade $20 with your snot-nosed little pals.
Had you said some of these things to my face, I would have been obliged as a gentleman to slap you across the face with my gloves and challenge you to a duel of wits. However, given the fact that your lack of ammunition is as apparent as your lack of maturity, I’ll spare you the wounds.
Your posts are trite, and are quickly becoming offensive. I pity anyone that even remotely sympathizes with your opinions or “point of view”. Do I want an apology? No. I doubt you could even comprehend the request given the sophomoric nature of your posts this far. Even so, I am completely convinced that the “TJ” in your user name stands for none other than Total Jackass.
I think TJ may have been using sarcasm in the flight-attendant thread. Maybe.
But I’m willing to change my position on that, after reading the other threads. “Come in here to get head?!” That transcends the realm of mundane and pointless.
As highly evolved and intelligent members of the human species, it is incumbent upon us to realize and accept that there are lesser mortals who claim membership in our species solely by virtue of their physical appearance. Unfortunately, some glitch in inheritance allows the species to continue to produce some individuals who are sadly lacking in those vital internal qualities, such as empathy and mercy, that are the hallmark of the truly evolved human. As superior beings, we must strive to view these pitiful creatures with the same compassion we would extend to any other unfortunate victim of nature’s warped need to preserve even the most useless genes.
Either that, or we hunt them down and destroy them like rabid dogs, hopefully before they can reproduce - I forget which. (I always missed that question on those darned ‘ethics’ tests!)
If there were any true justice in this world, the Golfer would soon find himself cowering in a sandpit in the hinterlands of Iraq, fully aware that somewhere exists a person who is praying fervently for his death so that said person can win the $100 ‘death toll pool’.
What’s odd is that most of TJ’s posts seem fairly normal! And then recently there’s these. . . blatantly stupid threads that Tripler cited. . . it makes no sense.
The whole “let’s bet on how many people die!” thread was just stupid and inappropriate and offensive. Someone with 100 posts under their belt should know that shit won’t be tolerated here.
OK, both the “Let’s have Fun with Iraq” and the “Let’s Give A Medal” thread were sarcastic.
Now, I freely admit I was wrong assuming that the flight attendant was a woman, but a friend at work told me the story and said it was woman. However, I should have read the whole story and not the headline.
As for the Iraq thread. Look around. Everywhere in America (Illinois at least) and you will see people having fun with the war. It is almost a game to people.
The “Come In and Get Head” thread, well that I owe to my good friend Guinness.
I fail to see casualties as ‘a game to people’. The multiple names the media seems to cook up for this conflict may be cause for bemusement, but then again, nobody got killed by a kitschy headline quip.
I don’t see anyone having fun with this war. If this is a source of “fun” to you, I truly pity your irresponsibility and immaturity.
I wasn’t necessarily saying the news coverage showed the war as a game, just the attitude of a lot of people. I have been hearing a lot of people say things like, “the war will be over in days and then we will have all their oil” and “I can’t wait 'til we kill that camel jockey.” There seems to be little sympathy for the lives of people that will be lost, especially when it is Iraqi life.
My post was a play on this, I don’t find war “fun”.
And let’s read the originial post:
If only there was drawing feature on this board, I would draw you a picture of sarcasm.
Not really people I hang out with. Just things I’ve heard people say.
Hell, I heard things like that on radio the other morning. I am not sure what show it was but it was one of those stupid morning shows.
Are you really saying you haven’t heard anybody say things like this? Maybe this attitude is more prevalent where I live (Joliet, IL). And it is certainly not an attitude I agree with, which is why I was making fun of it.
Really, your OP in that thread doesn’t look anything like sarcasm to me.
I have no problem with a little humor, but suggesting we bet on the loss of soldiers lives isn’t humorous and it isn’t sarcastic. It’s immature, stupid, tacky. . . I’m betting if you had a friend or a family member due to be deployed, you wouldn’t find it funny either.
And upon preview:
If you were really making fun of the “attitudes” of people who ARE making a joke about war, why didn’t clarify that in the OP of the thread “Let’s have fun with the Iraq war”? Instead, when Tripler called you on it and asked you not to bet on his life, you come back with “Ok, 436” - c’mon.
