Polycarp was someone whose contributions i always enjoyed and valued. He was an outstanding member of this community, and i’m sorry that he’s gone.

Polycarp was certainly one of the more recognisable names here on the board. It’s a testament to folk like Poly and the other early messageboard members that many are not just ‘names’ anymore: we share in their lives, their loves, their losses and as time goes on (we’re all getting older of course), their deaths.

Poly is the first poster I remember from when I first joined this board, and when I saw his name on a thread, I was sure to click on it.
He was an admirable man. RIP.
Every memory I have of him is of him being wise and good-hearted. I am so, so sorry for your loss.
