That’s not what I meant. It’s possible to bake a legitimate political gripe and extrapolate it beyond what is reasonable due the bias the gripe has produced.

But this is a case where my gripes were caused by the issue under discussion. Prior to the build up to Iraq, I did not have early the same animus towards Bush that I had afterwards. I wasn’t repelled by the invasion of Iraq because Bush did it, I was repelled by Bush because he invaded Iraq. For years, this administration kept exceeding my own cynicism.
All well and good, and I can say pretty much the same thing myself. However, that does not preclude the possibility that a now-existing disgust for Bush has made it easy to lump the Iraq War into the same bucket as the invasion of Poland. Just as you are reluctant to paint the US soldiers in too negative a light, might it not also be possible that you are (now) all too eager to paint Bush in an overly negative light.
Anyway, I’m not really trying to convince you of this, so I won’t take it any further. Just something you might think about. Or not.
