Tony Snow dies.

Because it is totally theoretical. If I met Tony Snow in the desert and he were dying of thirst, he could share my water. I haven’t the slightest doubt that Diogenes would do the same. Saying you wish horrible death on somebody doesn’t mean shit to a tree. Wishing awful things on people is a form of psychic dyspepsia, it has no consequence except! what it does to yourself.

By comparison, Snow’s collaboration with the Bushiviks bought him a share of their stinky rotten karma, and real people really did *really * die. That does mean something, because its a fact, a result of action.

If I stuck pins in my Snow voodoo doll all day long, I’m only hurting myself, no blame. If there were a referendum “Let’s Put Tony to the Wall and Plug Him”, and it passes by a million votes and one of them is mine…that’s real.

This unit is not accepting abstract hijacks, especially those posed for no other apparent purpose but to imply that I am a hypocrite. Access denied.

Well, I doubt it. Look, man, DtC is happy that Snow died of colon cancer. You think Snow’s dying of thirst would change his mind?

The difference between wishing harm and suffering and actually *committing * it is as vast as a galaxy.

I see your point. Honestly, I do. I would like to think that your point applies to DtC just as much as I would like to think that your point applies to all of us here. I can’t.

Tony Snow was a despicable human being. Less despicable than Bush, Cheney, and Rove, but despicable nonetheless because he enabled their agenda.

There are hundreds of thousands of human beings dead now who would be alive right now if Bush had not been able to carry out his plans. And unlike what Clinton did, his actions in Iraq had absolutely no justification (The WMD story was a deliberate fraud perpetuated on the American people). Bush is a murderer, and anyone who works for him is an enabler to his treachery.

Did Tony Snow deserve death? To quote Gandalf, Many that live deserve death, and many that die deserve life… Do not be so eager to deal out death in judgement, for even the very wise cannot see all ends. No, what he deserved was a long, long life, of ostracism and public shame, comparable to Leni Riefenstahl. I regret that he did not live long enough to feel remorse.

Oh bull fucking shit. In this very goddam thread, it’s not true, since the OP was disagreed w/ within minutes of his post and Dio got immediately (2 minutes) slammed, continuing for pages, and by other liberals.

I, for one, will throw a huge damn party when Fred Phelps finally kicks it.

But delighting in someone’s death because of a difference in politics? I find that very disappointing, and I’d hoped we were above that?.

Who said it was about a difference in politics? Pretty sure he didn’t, he gave his reasons. You think he’s lying?

No, he’s trolling. I know it, you know it, the mods know it, but strangely, nothing is done about it.

Cruel and unusual punishment? I haven’t called for any punishment for anybody, nor have I said it was ok. Snow died of natural causes. That’s fine with me. I didn’t say I wanted him or anyone else to be killed intentionally.

What US president has not caused the real deaths of real people through decisions he’s made? Shall we dance on Mike McCurry’s grave if he dies from some longwinded excruciating condition that turns his wife and children into physical and emotional wrecks, just because he was Clinton’s press secretary while people died in Kosovo?

Dio is no different from a goddamn televangelist delighting over perceived vengence poured down upon people who just fucking deserve it. The only difference between Dio and Fred Phelps is that Phelps has the courage of his convictions. Dio is a coward who doesn’t even have the balls to go hold a sign up at the funeral.

Snow had a loving wife and three beautiful young children, one boy and two girls. His father outlived him, but his mother, an inner city nurse, died of the same kind of cancer. He played six musical instruments — trombone, flute, piccolo, accordion, saxophone and guitar — and loved The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, and Jethro Tull. He had suffered the agony of ulcerative colitis for years before his tumors erupted. He maintained a cheerful and dignified public demeanor until the multiple diseases and debilitations that cancer spawns took him down. He loved his family, his friends, his God, and his country — even many of his enemies. And while I realize that those things are of no value to some people here, I see Dio as his opposite in almost every particular. Dio would only take pride in that, and that makes it worse.

You can blame Bush and Cheney all you want for the pain and suffering of people in Iraq. But blaming Tony Snow for it is just ignorance made manifest and blown up to Biblical proportions. And worse. It’s blind hatred. It’s mindless stupidity. It’s bigotry on a fascist scale. It’s fucking Westboro Baptist Church, and Dio has wrestled away the pulpit.

Well, don’t hold back, don’t sugar-coat it, tell us how you really feel…

Well, yes, of course. Except for the numbers, that is. And the intention. And the lies. Except for those trivial distinctions, they are precisely the same.

Dio the C, the biggest piece of shit on this board. Just my not so humble opinion.

So what? Shit (or genetics) happen(s) and people die. If you argue that he didn’t deserve death, I don’t see how you can argue he deserved life because of the number of musical instruments he played.
Perhaps I misunderstand your post.
Besides, the Doobie Brothers?

Jesus fucking Christ.

He was a Bengals fan too. Take that for what it’s worth.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see the vitriol when some liberal icon dies. Maybe because we conservative (libertarians) are in the minority and just don’t feel like participating in the wake.

Or, maybe it does go on and because if I can’t say something nice (barring Phelps) I won’t say anything at all and I miss it.

elucidator, I’m still astonished. DtC is completely, absolutely, 100% out of line here, and you’re sucking his dick and saying, “Oh yeah, go on,” in between swallowing. Who do you think you are, Ken from Connecticut?

Your puns and your one-liners will be a lot less funny to my now that I know what you really are. I’m only sorry I’m not allowed to put posters on an ignore list.

You’re not looking very hard, then.

My feelings in this thread have nothing to do with right-left politics, though.

No, they have to do with you being a worthless sack of shit.
