Imagine if they make Beast all CGI and he just does the voice. Not that they’ll go that way, but I just can’t see him physically playing the part.
So I guess at the end of the movie he’ll be wearing his ass for a hat? Red would be proud of Spidey for that.

I’m trying to imagine the climatic battle between Tobey Maguire and Topher Grace. But all I can see is Michael Keaton saying, “And they said I wasn’t macho enough play a super-hero?”
Maybe Topher’s not going to be fighting Tobey. Maybe he’s gonna be replacing him.
Tobey is, by all accounts, in terrible shape right now. They say he’s gained 20 or 30 pounds and that his back is still screwed up from shooting Spider-Man and Seabiscuit back to back.
Topher was an early casting choice for Spidey, and he’s got the right look and attitude. I think he’d be a perfect Webhead if Tobey had to drop out.
He might, but he headline is that he was cast to play the villain in the movie, so…
If Topher Grace manages to get all muscular and ripped, I am going to feel like the lamest girly-man on earth.

The kind of progress Tobey Maguire made in the first film (between his falling asleep and waking up with new body) can easily be made in two, three months, provided you have a good diet. You’d be surprised what a couple extra pounds of muscle can look like.
