Looking back at what I wrote so very very long ago, I see that I referred to “the self-opinionated / self-appointed”: it is an ellipse - you are supposed yourself to supply after “self-appointed” the appropriate word - which has I think to be “morons” or “tossers” or “shitheads”…
I hate to say it, because you seem a nice person, but what you are doing is almost the same as somebody posting to point out to you that Kat was spelled with a C…
I gotta stick up for Durno here, Kat. Agreed, you cannot call someone a “self-appointed.” But you can refer to “the self-appointed,” meaning the group of people who are self-appointed, just like you can refer to “the pompous,” or “the pretentious.”
The IQ of a group is equal to the IQ of the dumbest member divided by the number of people in the group.
Bj0rn, Phaedrus is a poster on this message board who Andros is adding to the troll list. 5 pages ago, there was an OP. It had to do with listing posters on the Board who should be considered trolls. The fact that the poster in question has the same name as someone in a dialogue you’ve been quoting is an unpleasant coincidence. It has nothing to do with you.

thanks, i knew that much. i tried to find that user name a while ago but the search didnt come up with any posts, so i reasoned there was no poster called phaedrus. but just now i saw him posting in the great debates.
i am puzzled though. the first referance to phaedrus in this thread is on page 4 and was made by myself, so why has phaedrus the poster been dragged into this thread without his name ever been written here in connection to this thread.

This is not a thread about you. You have tried to make it about you. It is not. It is a thread where people list trolls. Hence the name, “Troll list.” Phaedrus is a troll. Therefore, Andros listed him here, where trolls are to be listed.

yeah…but at that time i didnt know of a poster called phaedrus, i looked for him, by searching for any posts he would have made, but couldnt find any. so thats why i said what i said about other referances about phaedrus were not a part of this thread. a simple misunderstanding where no one is to blame, why are you so upset about it?
I’m not upset, I’m trying to explain. However, you seem to understand. You almost seemed to understand in the post before your last one. Is this a verb tense problem? Did you mean that AT ONE TIME you wondered what Phaedrus had to do with anything but now you understand what is going on?
