The truest test of my theory would be today’s scheduled DC protests. If the majority of the rank-and-file GOP true believers really did think that the election was stolen, there will be 3 million protesters there.
But trolls don’t actually protest; not the least bit interested in being arrested/beaten/shot (rubber buwwets) for their (fake) beliefs, since that would actually require putting themselves on the line. But you won’t stick your neck out if you’re actually just doing it all for the lulz and lib ownage. Which means that a good chunk of those polled on said question have been lying to the pollsters. [If I turn out to be right and the attendance today ends up being sparse and tepid]
I’ve said this before, but what is so scary about this situation is, if I truly believed what the Trumpers claim, the logical response to a stolen election like this WOULD BE mass protests and even armed insurrection. Obviously what Trumpers believe is ludicrous, but if we put ourselves in their shoes, rising up in rebellion is the only logical and patriotic move at this point.
So you are right, we will soon see how sincere they are in their delusions.
