I’m scratching my head as well. @CarnalK was an argumentative bastard, but not about the kind of trite stuff that RealityCheck71 seemed to want to split hairs about.
On the other hand, he was banned out of nowhere (I didn’t see any warnings), so he was probably someone’s sock.
I kind of wish we had a Box, like the Giraffe Boards, where we sent banned posters. That way, they could make an appeal and possibly even rehabilitate. Anyone who wanted no part of them could simply ignore that forum.

Needlessly hostile Canadian CarnalK gets banned, and needlessly hostile Canadian RealityCheck71 picks up the baton and keeps on running. I reported it, but I can’t have been the only one.

Yeah, that was a really good catch. I can’t stand Carnal and had annoying conversations with RealityCheck, but I hadn’t put the two together.
That’s a good thing. I hope it becomes standard moderator practice to change a banned poster’s title to BANNED, so it’s obvious when they are. (As opposed to someone just on temporary suspension.)
We’re in the process of developing these protocols for Discourse now. I’ve proposed to make that standard.

I believe it’s an administrator function. Mods can do it, but AFAIK posters can’t change their own titles.
