Trolls R Us redux [Now the argument clinic]

Well, it’s 3 PM here in my time zone – enough talk, time for a drink! :grinning:

That’s damn near wrecked 'em.

No, 'tain’t.

Trolls, the lot of you! You’re all trolling those of us who came here looking for posts about trolls, not by trolls.

This thread has gotten way too meta for my tastes. Like something you’d put into a bad cocktail. Metacocktail: you don’t so much buy it as rent it, because it goes right through you…

Yeah the salt shit around the rim can go.

No one here has clued in - no caesar or BM is complete without a good dash of French’s prepared mustard, a half oz. of San Giacomo Aged Balsamic Vinegar Tradizionale, and half a packet of pop rocks (for zest).
No ice, because it’s
ONE.
QUICK.
GULP.
Then slam down the fluted goblet.

I really hate to derail this thread back to the topic but can someone tell me how this isn’t trolling?

I didn’t think it was quite blatant enough to report but I have trouble seeing it as anything else, especially since it was a major sidetrack. Fortunately nobody took the bait and it was ignored.

If it’s not trolling, it might be some kind of mental breakdown.

Seems pretty blatant to me. It’s probably its blatantness that helped prevent anyone’s taking the bait, actually.

Timothy’s been trying really hard lately to get a reaction/noticed. He’ll keep upping the ante until he gets the attention he craves.

See also the Pit thread about him where he harasses AHunter. IM(not so)HO, their trolling, hate-speech-level responses there should have been their final post. It goes to show how easily @FriendlyCurmudgeon could gotten off if he’d kept his trolling to the Pit.

I am told the correct term is “edgelord”.

That is straight up hate speech. With doubling down multiple times after being corrected. Does anyone know if it’s being discussed in the modloop?

Returning to our regularly scheduled discussion of cocktails* …

In the interest of not surprising guests with something mismade, I’ve just enjoyed my first Caesar per the recipe I posted above, less the rimming because I was lazy.

The clams are subtle enough you could be forgiven for not noticing them. I didn’t have conventional Tabasco (hate the wimpy vinegary stuff), so I used a couple dashes of a scotch bonnet-based Jamaican hot sauce I have. It looks like Tabasco, but is ~20x hotter. Two dashes overwhelmed the flavors of everything else. My next attempt here in a few minutes will have less of that.

Overall I’m impressed; that’s a nice refreshing cocktail. A lot of interesting flavors and very drinkable. Cheers to the Canadians! It stands to reason they’d be good at cocktails.

* Which seems to be having the intended effect of keeping the trolls out of this thread.

You have reminded me to wander out to the fridge and pour some of my afore mentioned premixed old fashioneds in to the nearest clean glass and then wander back.

Thanks!

Sipping away here. On the rocks-quite bourbony but that’s ok. It won’t go to waste.

Cheers my dear! I made my second Caesar with a mere hint of the super-hot sauce and it’s much improved.

FTR I don’t think those should be made by the pitcher. It’d be easy to drink enough of them to only realize something was wrong when you tried to stand up and suddenly the floor rose up to meet your nose.

I admit that Caesar cocktails sound really tasty!

Blech. I’ll just sit here sipping a cheeky little California Malbec and leave the bivalve drippings to others.

My beer tastes like hops.

This smells like sock
