Well, I agree, but it’s much more than that. Commercial media is necessarily biased in two respects: it has to pander to the interests of its sponsors, and it has to strive for profit. The latter means that if reporting on the Kardashians instead of reporting on important policy news is going to attract more clicks or more eyeballs, then that’s what they do. Same reason they sensationalize stories. Public broadcasting has no such demands, and has a legally binding contractual arms-length relationship with its government funding. The distrust of “government-funded” broadcasting is just the quintessential American distrust of government – same reason they distrust universal health care – despite the fact that both work very well in every civilized country in the world except the USA. And this distrust of government, ironically, supports exactly those policies (like unlimited political spending, and opposition to public broadcasting) that encourages the kind of corrupt governance that they claim to fear. So yes, @EastUmpqua is at least an idiot, but also very probably a troll.
I just know EastUmpqua as a Trump supporting poster. Though I’ll admit that I tend to assume troll by default for those posters, since Trump is also a troll.

Yeah, it’s impossible to answer without getting into some subjectivity. It’s the Bible—different religious traditions will interpret it differently. Even what I said was an argument, not purely factual.
