You do realize that if you are transgender you can’t take a break, don’t you? This isn’t an intellectual discussion for them. Its their lives. They can’t just walk away when in the real world people are planning to take away their rights.
Not just taking away their rights but redefining them as the Other and spreading a wide range of smears and insinuations that make their lives a living hell in a thousand other little ways.
And then some assholes have the temerity to tell them to “grow a thicker skin”.

I think I’ve been had by urbanredneck2. I’m pretty sure he’s a JAQing troll. I have tried to engage him a number of time on multiple issues but he just continues to play dumb and ask the same stupid questions over and over. I see he’s been suspended, which supports my hypothesis. Mea culpa.

Clothahump might have had that beat. I think FinnAgain was doing weekly or monthly threads about him for a while back in 2006 or 2007.

I think urbanredneck2 and his vBulletin predecessor urbanredneck started out as mostly a workin’ class guy with workin’ class sensibilities living in a conservative part of the country. Who’d talk about his real life events and his genuine reaction to the world around him.
And in the intervening years since then he’s pretty well perfectly followed the arc of your generic workin’ class social conservative over the edge into the RW wonderland of Trump, CTs, the Faux worldview, and all the rest.
It’s sad to see. But hardly surprising. Like a moth to a lightbulb, you can only orbit that stuff so long before you’re inevitably sucked in and burned.
It’d be funny if he was a group of one. But he’s an exemplar of a group of at least 75 million people. That’s a very bright light that’s putting out one hell of a dark message.
I just hate it when people pretend they want to learn but in fact have no interest in learning. It’s a waste of time for the people trying to do the teaching.
While urbanredneck2 will surely be missed, I think Jilena is off to a good start in trying to fill his shoes by proving that it takes a specific skill to ask a stupid question or put forth a stupid idea.
