The president has not been taking hydroxychloroquine.
Thanks for the the link:
When all his details were entered into the US ‘19 and Me’ coronavirus risk calculator, the president was found to have a 35 per cent risk of hospitalisation, a 11 per cent risk of needing intensive care and a eight per cent risk of death.
(…)
Melania is younger, has a healthier weight and a female, so has far less risk of becoming seriously ill.The ‘19 and Me’ calculator estimates that Melania has a 5 per cent risk of hospitalisation, just 1.3 per cent risk of needing intensive care treatment, and a risk of dying of 0.4 per cent.
Yeah, it boggles my mind how anyone could think this is brilliant or faked. If Trump wanted to take attention off his taxes, bad debate performance, or whatever the latest bad news of the day is, he would pick something that isn’t viewed as such a negative for him. Pretend he was assaulted by Antifa, stage a crime in some city where the police budget was recently cut, anything that plays to his supposed strengths.
Why on earth would he draw more attention to the one thing that has done more to hurt his election chances than anything else?
Is it normal to give massive amounts of an experimental drug for mild COVID cases? Asking for a friend.
Four years ago today:
Trump is a bigly yuge hypochondriac.
The best of all possible outcomes:
Trump gets sick.
His supporters have a come-to-Jesus moment and start wearing masks.
COVID cases drop as a result.
Trump loses the election in a landslide, anyway, cuz his campaign is totally derailed (not that it spent any time on track anyway).
The only way this makes sense as a tactic is if he’s actually sick & hoping for sympathy votes from the American public and/or the Nobel Committee.
I doubt very much this is a tactic. I am sure Trump opposed the announcement. I do wish Trump a speedy recovery. I am concerned with Trump’s governance and do not wish the Republicans to win the House nor Senate .
When did Trump ever have a sense of taste?
Dotard has been rushed to Walter Reed:
I really hope this is just a precautionary measure, and not a sign of something far worse.
Didn’t he tweet it himself at around 1:30 am?
The drug they gave him (REGN-COV2) does not have an EUA, but it’s in trials and available for compassionate use. It’s a “mild-to-moderate” treatment.
It’s correct that 8 grams is the max that’s been given in trials.
BBC TV reporting Trump is being flown by helicopter to a hospital.
He just landed.
Karma’s a bitch ain’t it?
There have been limited studies showing Regeneron’s therapy at 8g doses is well tolerated (I think this is the same thing Trump is getting but someone correct me if I’m wrong).
I’m not a med expert, but it seems like giving someone experimental medicine at all wouldn’t be recommended unless they had a severe case. I don’t know a whole lot about this antibody therapy - maybe it’s not considered very risky or there’s a much lower risk of death compared to other symptoms? Also possible everyone but him realizes he’s in a huge risk group and is treating it as severe case from the git go. Or he’s just paranoid.
I need for you people to stop building my hopes up.
