Someone who is afraid of seeming weak likely wouldn’t have gone to a hospital for a precautionary measure. I’m guessing his symptoms were more than just mild.
He should be careful what he wishes for. It may come in a form he didn’t expect.

I still think he may lose, but remain President. Fareed Zakaria wrote about the entirely constitutional path he has to remain President even if he loses. It scared me because of how clear it seemed that he can do this.
I do think it’s important that Trumpism be defeated by our voters and political system. There will be another Trump and it’s really important to cut down on a demagogue’s appeal by showing them to lose.
Trump isn’t faking. He’s currently being raken to Walter Reed Hospital ‘for a few days’. If he were faking, he’d be staying in the White House.
I suspect it’s more serious than they are letting on, as going to Walter Reed isn’t something Trump would do if he had a few sniffles or a sore throat. The optics are bad. On the other hand, they take no chances with a President.
I wonder if they’ve known for days that he’s been positive, but only announced the results when it became clear that he was going to be very symptomatic and they couldn’t hide it any more.
He’s had a fever since this morning, whereas with Melania it really does appear to be a matter of the sniffles/sore throat.
Well, I put Trump’s info into the 19andme risk calculator for Covid-19 (I assumed that he has hypertension) and it gives him a 92% chance of surviving.
Or he believes they are.
That’s a really glass half empty way of stating it.
