I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!
He’s a fucking psychopath. He could take this as an excuse to change his message and save 100,000 lives. Instead, he’s going to put even more people at risk.

If Trump recovers, it could well be because of the experimental treatment he has been receiving that is described in the following article:

Per the article, this treatment is a good bet to treat COVID-19. However, it is difficult or impossible to scale up, meaning there are only very small, limited amounts that are possible to produce in the foreseeable future, meaning these treatments are unlikely to affect the course of the pandemic. In short, this is a very expensive and rare treatment that not everyone has access to.
So it is even more disingenuous for Trump to tell the public not to be afraid of Covid. It’s bad enough that Trump’s policies have led to more infection and more death, but it just puts the icing on the cake to tell the public not to fear a disease when he has access to treatment denied to the rest of us.

That’s an excellent point. Some steroids make you feel great.
Dexamethasone’s side effects include “mania and hallucinations”. I think that’s the meaning El_Kabong was going for.
He’s basically gambling that he won’t get sicker and gambling that he won’t infect anyone else, returning to a building that has had COVID positive people walking in and out of the building the last week.

I was thinking about prednisone – when my mother was on that for a while, she felt great.
Anyway, that one line in the tweet will lead to, what, 10,000 additional deaths? More?
My mom still talks fawningly about the steroids she was on like ten years ago and how she felt like a young woman.
I can certainly think someone as stupid and unable to accept information as Trump could decide that he’s totally healed and everything is great because of his steroid high.

This is insane, absolutely insane. There are absolutely no brakes on his behavior and he is unhinged. He could literally decide to go back to the WH and nuke China.
