As long as we don’t make you a hamberder, you might be safe from His Plagueness.
So, is this where Don, Jr stages his intervention? Because I’d guess that Don, Sr only thinks he’s going back to the WH at 6:30, or at a minimum against medical advice.
And of course, the big question is why are his children deciding whether he is competent/well enough to leave the hospital? It really seems like the cabinet should be involved in that, doesn’t it?
I don’t feel like digging it up, but I predicted elsewhere a couple possible outcomes:
- Trump’s doctor tells us “everything’s fine, just a couple of totally expected hiccups, he’ll be in hospital to work through some minor stuff.”
OR
- He leaves the hospital flat on his back, and gets transported to the White House where he’ll keep lying flat on his back in a hastily-prepared medical suite off the oval office. Once a day they’ll prop him up and wheel him out to scribble on more blank papers with more Sharpies.
Of course he could walk out completely upright, and nobody would be more surprised or wrong than me.
If he’s leaving today, then what the fuck was yesterday’s SUV stupidity all about?
Oh, that’s right: stupidity. And he wanted to endanger the lives of the secret service personnel for no goddamned reason. Trumpworld.
Does he do another drive-by today, on his way out?
I agree with this, except for the part I bolded. He doesn’t give a fuck if he infects anyone else. If they get sick, they’re suckers and losers.
Banh mi ok? I have canned pate, or applewood smoked chicken liver.
Somebody M30 this motherfucker.
I knew he really didn’t care about other people, and I knew he would put anonymous strangers lives in danger, but it’s somehow worse that he doesn’t give a flying fuck about the people who will jump in front of a bullet for him or the people who are giving him $250k each for his “campaign”.
(Scare quotes because I’m sure he’s draining that into his own coffers as quickly as possible)
The NY Times reported earlier that he wanted to leave yesterday, but they agreed to the parade around Walter Reed to mollify him.
So, maybe they drive him around the city a bit this time, wait until he nods off and then put him back at Walter Reed. When he wakes up, tell them they finally implemented his plan to redecorate the WH and various foreign leaders have been calling to say it is the best world leader home they’ve ever seen.
Could work.
Good fucking god. Thanks again, Republicans, for this asshole of yours.
Yeah, Republicans are fucking trash.
Yeah, that surprised me, too. I mean, sure, don’t gas about me, but not even your major donors? Not even the people you need to be able to trust to jump in front of a bullet for you?
Have you learned nothing from our Dear Leader? If he walks out (right about now, according to plan) with a spring in his step, there is no need for you to admit error. Just:
- Deny you ever said anything about him not leaving on October 5th.
- Call his departure “fake new” and “a hoax.”
- Both!
Trump is like the secretary who’s afraid someone’s going to find out that the petty cash is missing. He’s willing to die to get back to the office. He’s desperate to win the election - desperate. He will do anything, because if he’s out of power, he’s headed to jail and so are others around him.
And again, this is also what makes him extremely dangerous right now.
Remember, he owes $400m dollars. The only way he can make that right is to stay in office and keep doing their bidding.
Look on the bright side. He’ll go back, infect more of the scum who work for him, and then relapse. (He’s not at the bad part of the illness yet.) I’ve thought that it would be cool if a meteorite crashed into the Cabinet room during a meeting, assuming the good people (secretaries, food service) are gone, but Trump making them sick is even better.
As for the Secret Service, cops have more than once shot a man of color when mistaking a cell phone for a weapon. Color = orange? It could work.
The apolitical White House staff, many of whom have worked there for multiple administrations, are the ones being put most at risk.
