Looking at the calorie listings on the McDonald’s website:
- A Big Mac is 580 calories
- A Filet-O-Fish is 380 calories
- A medium chocolate shake is 650 calories
So that’s 2,570 calories.
Yeah, I’d love an EV, but the installation of charging at my house would be too expensive along with a car payment, and insurance, (Michigan doncha know).
How much is electric power in Michigan? I’m paying about 16-cents per kWh and when I calculated it out, with gas at $3.50 a gallon I was paying about a third as much for “fuel.” Lately I’ve been smiling as I drive past each gas station with it at least a buck more than that.

Not gas prices, though they are high. Last I was at work we were at 4.50 a gallon. Insurance in Michigan is high and always has been. That and my car payment made me have to go back to work more than one day a week. I found something considerably lower than I was paying, but it’s still higher than anywhere else, or so I understand. And coughing up that kind of cash all at once (for installing charging) is out of our budget.
Ah. I missed the “installing.” Depending on your current service that can run into money, especially if you need level-2.
Yeah, if I had that kind of cash I’d put on a new roof and hire experts to do all the diying I’m trying to do on my own…very sllloowwwly. Then I’d think about charging. Sigh a girl can dream.
I mis-read that as “all the dying” you were trying to do on your own. I thought, “Wow, you can hire experts to die for you? I should look into that.”
Maybe that’s why this thread has lasted so long. As with so many things, Trump ignores the advice of the experts.
