They’re qualified to give him what he wants. Just not qualified for the role of things like Director of the FBI, or Secretary of Defense, or any actual advisory roles. And if he has anyone competent handling PR, he doesn’t listen to them. (He probably just wants people who tell him that everything he says and does is great and everyone loves him.)
Medically-speaking, it seems like the role of “doctor” is “person who will sign a letter that someone writes for me telling me I’m the healthiest and most vigorous human being ever”. So, I don’t know if he’s getting the best medical care either.
Anyway, they not being qualified to be a judge or Secretary of this or that or Director of anything earns only a shrug from him. He is totally indifferent as to what happens to this country or anyone in it.
The curvature of his usual finger posture accents the appearance of stubbiness, but yeah. Even if splayed out flat (assuming he can still do that net of arthritis and whatever juice they’re pumping into him) those are short-fingered hands.
Eh, it might actually be from shaking hands. My mother had bruises all over in her last years. She had bruises from all sorts of minor contacts. If she’d had to shake hands all day, her hands would have been bruised like that.
Also, the bruising was unrelated to what finally killed her.
I’ve been wondering for weeks now, is there any evidence, are there there any credible witnesses to all this hand-shaking? I don’t recall seeing anything showing Trump pressing the flesh, ever.
One can easily find photos of him shaking hands with people during photo opportunities, such as last week’s summit with Xi:
But, those are staged, and don’t happen that often. I’m not at all convinced that he shakes tons of hands every day, especially as it’s pretty well-known that, in addition to his other mental issues, he’s a germaphobe.
I found a picture of such. This is from six years ago, during his 2020 re-election campaign, and was taken in late February of 2020 – in other words, just before COVID.
We don’t know how many hands he shook other than this one, of course.
Good find. I think it’s rare to see him interacting with people in this way. (I suspect it didn’t happen all that often back six years ago—and maybe never, now!)
The fact that this is what they’ve tried to blame it on makes me convinced it’s a lie. If it were really from just shaking hands, they would have said it was from Trump singlehandedly demolishing the East Wing.
