Raised a love child with Bigfoot in deep Appalachia?
He looks better in other photos of course, but that’s the one I feel reflects the inner person…
He looks like a Mme. Tussauds sculpture of himself.
He looks ready to die on a toilet.
I didn’t think Elvis could suffer any further humiliation. I was wrong.
Amateur fireworks are very big around here, environment and safety be damned. I believe we would suddenly find out that there is a huge carillon of bells hidden in the Ferry Building tower, and they would begin ringing the changes to a background of the 1812 overture, a la V for Victory. That’s my fantasy, anyway.
When I was a child, my father would read the newspaper and declare at least one person mentioned in it to be an oo-gee bird. When I had grown children, I ran across a line drawing of a cranelike bird with it’s head up it’s bottom, with the dialog: “Oo, gee. It’s dark in here.”
Those are the only times I’ve ever run across the oo-gee bird.
Oh for sure, mine as well. But I’m also interested in people’s predictions as to what would in reality happen.
My real prediction for Hawai’i: it were really sudden, I bet strangers would turn to each other and say “have you heard the news?” And they might embrace a lot, as social hugging is a big cultural thing . You often hug people upon being introduced to them for the first time, and then definitely hug at the end of the conversation, as you now know them. (Having been raised a New Englander, all that huggy-kissy stuff is very weird to me, but I’ve done my best to adjust. And hell, I’ll hug absolutely anyone and mean it, should our Dear Leader pass.)
I think it’ll be like when Biden was finally declared the winner of the 2020 Presidential election after days of wondering: people spontaneously celebrated in the streets, cars honking, and big smiles all around (I remember smiling a lot that day).
Jubilant crowds celebrated the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the nation’s next president and vice president Saturday, honking horns, cheering and dancing in the streets across the country

I’m not really a fireworks guy, but I bought a small assortment last 4th of July just to be ready.
So many people want to dance on his grave that he will have to be buried at sea
I have an American flag. It’s just one of those on a short pole. I’ll probably mount it on my house. Full staff of course. I also have a kinda festive little rotating led light. I’ll turn that on.
There are some houses around here that have real flag poles. It will be interesting to see if any go to half staff.
Someone down the block from me has had an upside down flag on his flagpole for the last year or so. I wonder what he’ll do.
Self immolate.
Fly the flag properly. I can’t say ‘proudly’ not after what the USA has allowed. It’s an absolute disgrace.
Lots of babies born 9 months later. Dancing in the streets. Liquor stores sell out.
His last words, recorded for posterity:
“I can’t swim!”
Ew. Imagine working out from the calendar that you exist because a terrible old man’s death made your parents horny.
Can’t be helped. Joyful boners will erupt nationwide. Might as well put em to use.
Sure beats being born August 5, 2025
