Trump had his annual check-up at Walter Reed Hospital last April. Per the White House Press Secretary, he’s having another annual check-up on Friday.

It’s a typo - they are anal checkups.
Well, the past six months has seemed like a year to me.
And only three and a half more before any possibility of relief.

I think it’s because, for all of his bluster about running for a 3rd term, deep down he, and nearly all of MAGA, know perfectly well the Constitutional prohibition would be an actual barrier to him being elected in 2028, not just something to be handwaved away.
Wait, you mean it hasn’t been!? 
But it gives them another reason to paint themselves as victims when it inevitably fails.
I don’t think he has any legal theory in mind there. Trump’s only theory is that everything works out for Trump. It’s a theory that’s only been validated over time, and it’s stronger than it’s ever been in his entire life.
I agree that a third term seems legally impossible. It’s not a thing Trump can unilaterally do, and then dare someone to undo it. Many others have to go along with it.
But on the other hand, there’s an alarming dearth of evidence that would disprove the “Trump always wins” theory. Yes he’s losing a lot of court cases, but when it comes to his survival, he always seems to get the win.
He won’t have a third term any more than he was able to stay in office after losing in 2020.
He’ll bluster and might even incite another pitiful excuse for an insurrection but that’s it.
I’m more worried about the extensive damage to this nation and its foundations after he’s gone.

I’m afraid I may have been a bit premature. So far as I know, Trump is still not dead.
But then again, if he really doesn’t wake up until noon, maybe it’s just too soon for anyone to notice?
