Trump Tweets Apparent Call for More U.S. Nuclear Weapons

How right you are. :smack: The people, the dumbfucks, that voted for Trump are to be absolved of responsibility. They are, after all, simple people…

Of course you did. You’re foaming at the mouth, smashing away at the keyboard. Inconsolable and irrational.

Hate to say this, but cite? I’m not sure what you’re referring to.

Hardly. But please, repeat this line every chance you get and as much as possible. It’s doing wonders for the definition of the term and those, like you, who use it as a means of attack and derision any chance they get.

The quicker that bullshit gets tossed to the side, the better. Thanks for doing your part!

Until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on, I believe was the rest of his line. Meaning (to me at least) that we’re not sure who we’re letting in and who we’re not. That needs to be fixed.

I agree with that… in the sense that our process as it was or is now, seems… lacking.

As a means of denying all these religions, those people, those regions, etc? Of course not. Denying those that want to do us harm? Of course. I never took it any farther than that.

To key to writing good fiction is to make your fiction good. You should try that sometime.

Here you go:

Someone who says they support the racist statements of a racist is, get this, a racist. Of course the term racist is a means of derision. Racists should be derided.

With this statement you display an incredible ignorance of a couple of issues: immigration in general, and the very involved process of getting a refugee visa to the US.

Dare I ask: what religions “want to do us harm”?

As a whole? None.

Ughh. The Guardian. But fair point (about his initial statement) and one I’m glad he’s moved away from and clarified since then.

Had he stayed with the original? Agreed. Unnecessary, unwise and not what the US is about. Blanket statements usually aren’t.

Are you’re talking about his Muslim comments, in which case it’s race neutral (plenty of different races are Muslim) if not I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I haven’t seen or heard him say anything that strikes me as racist. If it IS referring to the Muslim comment, then give me a break.

Here’s the thing with saying crazy racist and bigoted things, and then “walking it back:” He gets to appeal to the bigots with enough plausible deniability. But here’s the other thing: The crazy racist and bigoted things he throws out there: Those are his first knee-jerk reactions, so you have to believe they’re what his lizard brain truly believes.

Ergo, he’s a fucking bigot. And while you may not be, you apparently have no problem with normalizing bigotry in our culture. Which is what he’s doing-- normalizing bigotry, normalizing talk of nukes, normalizing a lot of shit that just four years ago wouldn’t have been acceptable. He’s moving the Overton Window in a dangerous direction. No filter from our president lets people think it’s ok to remove theirs too.

Trump will make it the new normal so there’s nothing left to fight.

Jim: [consoling Bart] What did you expect? “Welcome, sonny”? “Make yourself at home”? “Marry my daughter”? You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.

Hating Muslims is not racist! So, that makes it OK! Whew! What a relief to finally have somebody we can just flat out hate without being bad people!

I’m astounded that someone posting here has missed every racist comment from Trump during the campaign and then thinks I’m talking about Trump’s bigotry against Muslims when I mention Trump’s racism. Trump is what you can call a multi-tasking bigot.

How about saying what you’re referring to instead of this bullshit guess what he means shit.

When I said racism, I meant racism. When I say jackass, I mean HL.

By any definition hating Muslims isn’t a racist comment since any number of races can and are Muslim. And since I didn’t say that and Trump hasn’t said that, I don’t get what you’re referring to.

But you knew that. Once again you just obfuscate, twist, and create what you think others believe and think in an attempt to accomplish… something. Elucidation certainly isn’t it.

You just can’t give an example, that’s all.

Paul Ryan disagreed with you there.

It’s funny how Trump never even detailed whatsoever any of the rulings that he cried were unfair and why exactly they were so unfair in the context of the lawsuits and his defense. But that’s Trump - any setback that happens to him is because someone else was unfair to him or cheating and any criticism of him is from someone who is a loser and not very successful to boot. Classy.

But the most racist statements Trump has made weren’t even overtly racist. His insistence that Obama was foreign-born was either motivated by racism or motivated to play to racists in order to win their support. Trump keeping the issue alive even after Obama consented for Hawaii to release the long form certificate and Trump’s lies that he had investigators go to Hawaii where they were “discovering things that even they can’t believe” was transparently disingenuous BS to play to those who believed that the first African American president in U.S. history was not legitimate. To their credit, John McCain and Mitt Romney never played in that cesspool.

Of you being a jackass? It’s evident in every post you write about how you don’t care if Trump was lying because he’s so genuine.

I already gave an example of Trump’s racism. Wow, HL, you really are dense.

The Mexican judge?

That’s it?

The way you’re going on about it I’d think you had pages of examples.

What a joke.

Refusal to rent to Blacks.
Comments about Mexicans (not just the one about the American judge).

More than Clinton.

Which is kind of a sad comment about your candidate, but you know.

But hey, bring up everything and anything you can (yet again, like eighty other threads don’t count) about how you hate Trump, his racists and Hitler-esque ideas and the ideologues who voted for him (the traitors), the sexist and misogynistic tendencies of him and his supporters, in a thread talking about Trump and his Tweats about Russia and our nuclear policy.

It’s obvious you’d rather talk about that than things you can actually say about the topic at hand.

Thanks for making me look that up. 1973?

Which ones? (And what the fuck is it with you that you can’t provide a cite or anything outside of vague comments and accusations? Jackass)

Where’s the evidence that our country’s representatives don’t know who we’re letting in and who we’re not? Refugees get checked out pretty thoroughly as it is before they are allowed in. I’m more afraid of our home-grown right wing terrorists, myself.

These attacks against an entire religion for the acts of a very small percentage of its claimed followers will only lead to demonization and persecution, possibly resulting in radicalization of more of those who already live here. If we instead welcome refugees and help them to assimilate and become Americans they have no reason to be radicalized.
