Trump Tweets Apparent Call for More U.S. Nuclear Weapons

Oh man. So basically you’re feeling more and more stupid every day. If you voted early you may have even started that sinking realization before the election. And now every day since that one you just get more and more stupid-seeming as his actions evolve around his tweets, his conflicts, his kids cashing in, his utter cluelessness, and HIS BETRAYAL OF EVERYONE WHO VOTED FOR HIM…it’s going to be a long 4 years for you. You’re laughing at us!!!

Just admit it to yourself: you’re hating on others/liberals to avoid the knowledge at the center of your being: That you have always been much more stupid and venal than anybody from any other party or wing or political philosophy, and it’s going to feel like that forever now.

I’m so sorry dude.

From an old fart whose Congressional career ended in a stench of corruption, a few days ago:

Now, Trump is trying to end his charitable organization. But it won’t be so easy because it is being investigated. (They* love* him in New York.) The ongoing story will be an ornament to his Presidency…

Good. And it starts with Trump and his bribe to Pam Bondi.

This, I don’t get.

He flat out says that he doesn’t mean what he’s saying. If you listen to his speech where he talks about “draining the swamp.” He says flat out that he didn’t mean it, but said it anyway. Then after it was in a bunch of speeches he liked how it sounded, so he kept saying it - but he never meant it. And now he doesn’t believe the press is taking him seriously because those were just words during a campaign, he never meant to drain the swamp.

Why do people think he means what he says when then says very plainly that he doesn’t? Do you think he’s lying when he says “I didn’t mean it” later?

When a Doper posts a misconception about physics or genetics and one of our PhD’s corrects him, do you answer that scientist like this? If not, is it because you know more about geopolitics than about hard sciences or because you know less?

I’m grateful to Trump supporters for showing in this thread and giving us insights into their unique grasp of world affairs. Be proud that your continued confidence in our new President-electdoes not go unnoticed!

I don’t get it either. When he says " lock her up" played well in the election season, but stop chanting it. Or when he says his foundation was “100%” charitable giving when he knows we know it wasn’t. Or that he won in a landslide when the actual numbers say otherwise.

That’s all he means what he says and you trust him?

I found the stupid guy.

If Twitter is to be the primary vehicle for our Commander-in-Chief, perhaps it needs to make its limit bigger than 140 characters so he can convey his policy decisions with greater detail, argumentation, nuance. Will twitter.com cooperate? I think 155 characters would be enough.

I did notice that his Tweet about nukes was exactly 140 characters long. The next one I checked
The big loss yesterday for Israel in the United Nations will make it much harder to negotiate peace.Too bad, but we will get it done anyway!
was also exactly 140 characters.
I checked another recent Tweet
slaughter you. This is a purely religious threat, which turned into reality. Such hatred! When will the U.S., and all countries, fight back?
and another
my presidency. Isn’t this a ridiculous shame? He loves these kids, has raised millions of dollars for them, and now must stop. Wrong answer!
All exactly 140 characters!

Is the Great Man an arithmetic savant who can subconsciously encapsulate his great thoughts into exactly 140 characters? Or is 140-character editing now one of the key duties of the Free World’s Leader’s Communications Directorate?

I suggest that 140 characters are too many - most of his profoundly stupid fans can’t read without moving their lips, and he’s got to keep it simple and avoid fatiguing the poor goobers. Colorful pictures would help, too.

Colorful pictures will be especially useful for when he cuts breast cancer funding. School lunches, not so good. Perhaps doe-eyed kids holding empty bowls and shouting, “Please, sir, no more!”.

I meant my answer was inartful.

It’s not based solely on their religion. And anyone who frames it that way is either dishonest or disingenuous in their motives on why to frame it that way.

But by all means, stick to the hyperbole and gross exaggerations to avoid what’s actually been said about the matter.

Yes I remember his criticism of the judge. No I don’t think what he said was as offensive as you apparently do. Meaning I think the judge could have been biased given Trumps stance on immigration at the time.

Racism can come from any side - white to black, black to white, white to Mexican, Mexican to black etc etc etc… Meaning it’s possible the judge was acting with prejudice, but I don’t personally think it was ever proven.

My side? People who voted for Trump and/or Republicans who ended up voting for him. People that I talked to personally.

Your side? People like you. Inconsolable that Trump (or someone with an opinion you disagree with or side they don’t support) could ever possibly win, and incapable of ever seeing or admitting even one reason why or ever accepting the results.

Lied (or more like I think, exaggerated) campaign promises?

Stop the presses. Holy shit.

In regards to what? I saw an article in the New Republic that says it’s in relation to his business holdings and how that will effect him as President. Or did you mean something else?

Seems to me he’s been addressing that issue lately, as he should, distancing himself from conflicts of interest and business ties.

Funny this scrutiny wasn’t put on Hillary and her conflicts of interest back when she became SOS.

Actually they were, sort of somewhat. If being told by her supporters yet again ‘There’s nothing there, there’ counts as addressing it.

Any problem if I repeat your line back to you?

Kind of an odd way to frame it. Since it doesn’t make much sense I’ll just repeat what I said earlier regarding immigration - it’s lawless as it currently stands and needs to be tightened and controlled in a manner that better addresses our concerns.

I know you’re side dismisses the idea that we have open borders, but it sure seems to me it’s true when you won’t discuss who you wouldn’t let in and why.

I’d go on but I’m thinking you weren’t so much asking questions as you were bitching and complaining, via questions.

Every single sentence he’s said at every single stump speech or rally?

Of course not. There isn’t a President yet (that I’ve seen) that has done that or been true to their specifics of what they said running to the letter. But as an idea of what he’s after or would like to see happen? Like I said, the gist of it I think he’ll follow.

The gist of putting corrupt people away? Like himself?

So which was Trump being, when he called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States?”

Again, though “Drain the Swamp” (which was a very specific example) isn’t something he said once, in passing. It’s something that he said frequently, in front of multiple audiences.

That’s not a gotchya quote - it was a go to phrase for him. To me, that isn’t a detail or a specific. It’s a general direction. And apparently, he didn’t mean it at all. From his later words, he meant nothing of the sort. He’s not even going to try.

Did I misunderstand the “gist” of that phrase? Did you see that as a detail - but something that he’s after? Or did you know that he didn’t mean it at all? How can you (and for that matter, how can I) tell what stuff he means specifically, what things he means generally, and what things are just silence interrupters?

Also along (but not exactly on) the same lines, when he walks back and can’t remember having said things - does that bother you at all?

Bullshit. Your hero, the Orange Liar, stated that at the outset. Yes, he “walked back” the comments (he’s pretty good at that, ain’t he?), but not before he stated that even ACTIVE DUTY US SERVICE MEMBERS WHO HAPPEN TO BE MUSLIM should be banned from re-entering the United States. That sure as hell is based solely on their religion.

But by all means, stick to the hyperbole and gross exaggerations to avoid what’s actually been said about the matter.

Ah, so you’re now admitting that you, along with Trump, are racist? Thanks, I guess. No, the bias Trump was bitching about wasn’t about the judges actual views nor even the judge’s actual record, but rather that Trump saw bias in the man because the man is Hispanic.

The rest of your response is simply insane.

Maybe that’s why “those guys” keep talking trash about somehow it’s OUR fault Trump won - despite the fact that we didn’t vote for him. They won’t assume any blame for the guy THEY put in the White House. So they blame us for “not voting enough”, even though the popular vote was damn near 3 million for Clinton.

Stupidity should be painful. Hopefully, it WILL be.

I accidentally left part of HL’s post in my last post; also, I left out one sentence for my reply. Here’s my corrected post.

Trump said that was the reason he asserted the man was biased!

Probably stole that legal strategy from Perry Mason and The Case of Woeful Wop, where Mason says to the judge “Shut your spaghetti-bending mouth, you guinea greaser!”. Then Hamilton Burger moved to have him committed to the Home for the Utterly Clueless and the jury agreed unanimously.

Frankly, it is “your” (yes I know not you personally) fault…
Trump got elected because of every lazy fuck that didn’t get out to vote,
How the hell Hillary gets less votes than Obama I can’t understand given who she was running against.
You can talk about that FBI dickhead, about the Benghazi dishonesty and whatever the hell else all you like -
But ultimately the blame lies with every jerk that DIDN’T vote - with every jerkwad who could see how woefuilly incompetent Trump is but still didn’t do anything about it…

Who was it that said …“all it takes for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing”? Well, this time around too many good men simply “did nothing” - and now you have got exactly the outcome you deserve.
