I think most of Trump’s tweets are triggered by something he reacts to as a threat to his self-image as the best and greatest.
Hillary wins the popular vote? Unpossible for the greatest candidate with the greatest win ever not to have won the popular vote - must be huge amounts of voter fraud.
Russian interference in the election? Unpossible for Trump not to have won simply because he is the greatest candidate with the greatest win ever - must be lies.
Russia planning to build more bombs? Unpossible for Trump not to be the greatest Commander-in-Chief with with the most, biggest, and shiniest bombs ever - must build more.
There’s no thought or policy behind them, just wounded ego.
