Getting up at 3.30 in the morning when you feel like death warmed up from the snot invasion is not fun. But we are up and driving TX for the family Thanksgiving. I may end up sleeping through a lot of it. But squash casserole is made and a spare one I promisedmr ems daughter as her mom can’t cook. Scalloped potatoes looked awesome when they came out the oven but the piece de resistance was the double chocolate bread pudding. Looked fab - I will let you know how it tastes 
I also made a spare one of those for mr ems daughter see above comment on moms lack of cooking skills. I do try and pass on some of my skills to her when she comes to visit.

Yummy brekkie from Pearly’s has been consumed. Scrambled aigs, bacon, grits, sausage gravy, bizkits. I need to crawl under the desk and nap. OYKW has taken off for the wilds of west Alabammy. It’s a nice clear day to travel and traffic should be good. It’s just a looooooooooooong drive, poor thing. I made sure he has a cooler with some cold sody waters (our cute name for soft drinks) and also has the requisite snacks. One must have both when travelin’ by automobile. Yeah, he’s a spoiled critter but worth it.
I am hopin’ to get out of here early afternoonish. I am intendin’ for this to be a quiet day to get some paperirk stuff done and then outta here and to da cave for a cookin’ marathon. Oh well, keeps me off the street.
