V: 2.10 (Mother's Day) SPOILERS

I doubt he’s really dead, though. Maybe his death was faked, or Anna will make a FakeTyler somehow. We didn’t get to see Erica’s reaction to his death (she doesn’t even know, yet), and the writers wouldn’t delay that scene 'til next season (assuming there is a next season) because it would really lose the “impact”.

Of course, if there’s no next season, he really could be dead- it could be that the writers figured they might as well go out on a bang*.

Nah, I’m pretty sure Tyler’s dead. Any breathing that may be noticeable is likely a flub. (and good riddance!) Really hoping this awful show gets renewed. I love watching it and I love bitching about it the next day.

WTF happened to Hobbs, BTW? Just disappeared… why?

I don’t buy the Lisa swap theory either. Lisa has shown herself to be too dumb to pull off an act like that, and why wouldn’t Evil-Lisa you know, say something to Anna as she’s being imprisoned?
Does it seem to anyone else like people just come and go as they please on the V ship? Are there no doors? Seems like Lisa or Amy or Joshua can just walk right in on Anna, no matter what she’s doing or who she’s talking to.

Along the same lines, how likely is it for Ryan to walk around freely on the V ship? And how dumb for him to be seen openly with Joshua? Have they forgotten about the uniform-pocket-cams everyone is supposed to be wearing?
Bitching done, now the praise: Nice to see a full V (albeit in cheesy CGI). Exciting plot, really felt like things were coming to a head. Glad to see both Diana and Ryan go too. Their stories were pretty much done.

The show goes into a really interesting direction if it gets renewed. Erica’s bosses working for Project Aries, not the V’s, was a nice twist. Out of nowhere, yes, but a nice twist. Jack getting blissed should have some cool repercussions, and Chad and Lisa are both in deep trouble.

So the question is, is Tyler only “mostly dead” or is he “all dead”?

I just wanted to note that in this thread, Gonzoron bet that:

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Thank you, Thank you. I gloated to my wife but forgot to gloat here.

IF the show isn’t canceled, I’m sure the first episode next season will connect his disappearance to that girl Marcus got him to set off the bomb for. We still don’t even know who she is - SO, sister, daughter he had while in middle school? Who knows.

I hope they DON’T pull a “BSG” on us with the V’s…

1; The V’s have been to Fintlewoodlewix err… Earth (what a dull name) before, as evidenced by deep cover sleepers like Ryan, lizarddoctorlady and Tori err… whatever character Rekhya Sharma (SP?) was playing

2; humans can be Blissed (at least it’s better than Bliss in the Red Dwarf universe)

3; Hi Opal

4; on the surface, the V’s seem to be benevolent-ish to humans

5; V tech can seem somewhat “miraculous” (any advanced tech is indistinguishable from magic)

6; Jack got blissed

Theoretically the V’s could say "you know that god fellow you like so much? Well that’s actually us… here’s why and here’s proof, get to the worshipping already

They could say whatever they like and probably make it convincing. But it’s already been established that the Vs only discovered Earth after our atomic testing.

Clone-Lisa is only a few hours old. I assume Anna didn’t personally supervise her memory imprinting. Presumably Joshua and Marcus could’ve programed her with just enough memories to fool Anna. Indeed she might not even be aware she is a clone. And if they went that route I’m sure they’d program her to know about Diana and Ryan only, not anybody else in the 5th Column.

Let’s see the Visitors discovered Earth in the 1940s and Project Aries has proof they’ve been around alot longer. I wonder if a Visitor scoutship ever crashed somewhere in the American Southwest? The age of that Visitor skeleton Science Boy had in the lab fits the timeframe, doesn’t it?

Yeah, I was ready to write off V until I saw Marc Singer’s name. I was hoping he’d appear with a hawk on his shoulder, but it was good to see the humans aren’t all suckers.

I thought for sure he’d be killed off since Fox keeps running commercials for a new sitcom he’s in. Then again, even if V does come back there’s a very good chance his Fox sitcom could be long dead and cancelled by next season.

I didn’t even recognize Marc Singer. Wow, he looks different now.

I sort of figure that Hobbes, having been in the merc business for a while, recognized that the failure of their little coup meant that Anna would be sweeping them up soon, so he went to ground. (Chad is so dead.)

Amy’s sudden Bliss ability confused me. I had been under the impression that only Queens (that is, born of a Queen Egg) were able to Bliss. Diana certainly implied it; plus if any female V can Bliss, why aren’t there constant power-struggles for Queendom amongst all the V ladies? Yet, here’s Amy, born of a human and a V drone, no Queen lineage at all. I can put up with a lot, but I do want internal consistency. I’m trying to fanwank it, and I’m failing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Perhaps queens can be born unto the drones at a small random percentage, in the chance that the current queen bloodline gets exterminated. Amy could just be a lucky coincidence?

Or it could do with the wonderful human DNA.
