Weirdly, the article I linked was the mobile version and when I click it from a desktop it cuts off some of the photos and the rest of the article (here’s the full desktop version). Shooting for S6 starts in Belfast at the end of the month and he’s clearly there to shoot with them, so whatever is going on with him he’s going to be in S6.
Or maybe he just…

… knows nothing?
Seriously, Jon is dead, dead, just as they said. He’s not getting a doctor, his is an ex-steward. But that doesn’t preclude a resurrection.
Oh no, I think he knows everything. He just doesn’t want to tell us (or more likely, is contractually obligated not to :p).
This is a featured article on Wiki today; apparently the castle is a shooting site for the upcoming GOT season: Castle of Zafra (Guadalajara) - Wikipedia
Why would he be going to the same place as Jaqen? if anything it’s evidence that he’s dead and Jaqen is going to borrow his face. If hes not going to where ever they shoot the ice scenes in then i wouldn’t put much hope in it.
So the Watch is going to ship Jon’s body to Braavos?
The studio is there, and I’ve read that that’s where nearly all the “interior” scenes are filmed. I think everybody goes there to film. The exterior locations, of course, not so much.
Maybe they will film a funeral scene for Jon, and they need Harrington for that.
Do they have a special ceremony for traitor Lord Commanders at the wall?
It probably involves peeing on them.
Yeah to clarify, Belfast is GoT HQ and most of the actors have been arriving there this month to start production for S6.
I thought something like that, as e.g. Sansa and Arya’s actors seem friends, but haven’t shared a location since S1. IIRC they are in different countries for filming (Croatia and NI/wherever Braavos is?)Unless they spend THAT much time on press junkets…
Due to the magic of filmmaking, many shots where you think a character is in a certain location do not actually have to be shot on location. Actually traveling to another location to shoot is very expensive and is only done when it’s necessary. And in some cases, they may only need to send a second unit to a location to get establishing shots, and don’t necessarily need the talent to be there. The actors could still shoot in a studio, on a set or a greenscreen.
Right, but I doubt Maisie Williams is waiting in the hallway while they film King’s Landing scenes.
Nope, they are actually part of the show. I can confirm this because I have a 2 year old, and have seen Game of Chairs, as well as Birdwalk Empire, Lord of the Crumbs, and others, right there during Sesame Street, as broadcast on TV. As much as I have always loved the Muppets for pitching jokes over the kids heads to the adults… sad to say I think these might be going a bit too far in that direction. My kid just seems bored by them, while I laugh my head off.
Heheh. Nicely done.
I posted this in one of the other GOT threads but not this one, I don’t think. Coldplay’s Game of Thrones Musical.
We are getting Ian McShane! In a small “mystery” role. Guesses? i am gonna go with Damphair.
Cool! Way back before the series was a reality he was my preferred choice for the role of Roose Bolton. Man just oozes quiet, dead-eyed menace. No guesses, but I’m curious to see what they do with him.
Elsewhere on the internet people are saying Randyll Tarly.
