The Greyjoys sent raiders to attack the shores of the North, including Theon who went deep into the North and took Winterfell (briefly).
Balon declared himself King of the Iron Islands, not King of the Seven Kingdoms.
Robb Stark declared himself King in the North.
The Baratheon brothers and Joffrey were the only ones trying to be King of the Seven Kingdoms.
…so, Five Kings but two were only claiming one each of the Seven Kingdoms.
Balon Greyjoy wanted to be king of the iron islands not the seven kingdoms, sitting on his miserable chunk of rock and grumping was basically the main way to go about it. His was a war of autonomy, not conquest.
That’s just how he rolls.
Oh, right, right. And they held another place for at least a few weeks/months until Ramsey used Theon to get them to surrender. (Moat Caillin, something like that, maybe?)
Still, all in all, Greyjoy has been distinctly less important than the other four, at least so far.
While we’re nitpicking, it was the Kingdom of the Isles and the Rivers, so Greyjoy wasn’t even claiming the rest (Riverlands). So 3 guys fighting over the 7, one over 1 kingdom, and the last over the crappier fraction of one kingdom.
Gary Kasparov has an interesting title for his latest book: http://www.amazon.com/Winter-Coming-Vladimir-Enemies-Stopped/dp/1610396200/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1449890361&sr=1-1&keywords=kasparov+winter+is+coming
What’s the difference between the Kingdom of the Isles and the Rivers and the Iron Islands + the Riverlands? The wiki says it’s the same thing.
I was saying that the Greyjoys were not even claiming 1/7 of the kingdoms, but a part of one. Whereas the Starks wanted one kingdom, and the other 3 guys all 7 kingdoms, which are really 9 regions.
The KotIatR disappeared after Aegon.
From what I understand, the Russians are *obsessed *with GOT.
In Soviet Russia, Game of Thrones is called “Nice, Safe, Unoppressive Kingdom.” And instead of paying subscription fee to watch HBO, you pay fee so it doesn’t watch you!
Interesting. Any English-language articles about that?

Charles Dance (Tywin) and Lena Headey (Cersei) are both in the upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies:

Jon snow is dead, dead, like really dead.
Red witch revives him.
He is no longer a member of the Nigth’s Watch, because he died.
He goes to take Winterfell.
I’ve been following Preston Jacob’s insanely detailed analyses of the show and novels for quite some time now. He’s currently dissecting all of GRR Martin’s 1,000 World Stories for possible links to the Ice and Fire and trying to figure out what the Faceless Men are up to.
I like that idea.
I like it a lot!
