It may not be an important part in the Readers’ Digest version that is the show, but in the books, I can see it be important to Jaime’s continued development, as last we saw, Brienne found Jaime in the Riverlands and seemingly was leading him to her (by claiming she found Sansa or something, IIRC). Jaime is a… bit… different in the show at the moment.
Heading back to King’s Landing on a ship with his just-poisoned daughter, right?

So at 9:00 clock it started raining cats and dogs. FML!
I am no longer an atheist. I am now convinced there’s a God. That hates me.
Season 7 may not start in April. Producers are delaying production to get weather more suggestive of winter:
Even for HBO, winter is (still) coming.
The actress who plays Queen Cersei was on NPR’s quiz show “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” this weekend. You’ll like the music they picked for the outro: Not My Job: We Quiz Lena Headey On Games Worse Than 'Game Of Thrones' : NPR
The actor who plays The Mountain has tweeted a photo of what Zombie Mountain looks like under his helmet.
Possible leak of Winds of Winter text by GRRM himself?
I got this at least second hand, so I won’t swear to it, but here is what I was told:
There was recently (no more than a few weeks ago) a tv interview with GRRM broadcast and while he was speaking in the background you could see his computer screen with Word Perfect (?really?) open with a page of text showing. Supposedly some fans have managed to make out what it says, and it’s a scene with Yara (Asha) at Stannis’s camp before they start the siege of Winterfell.
And that’s all the person who told me knew – not who the interviewer was or what TV show it was on or anything useful. Anybody else heard about this?
Even better: he uses circa 1987 WordStar 4.0 for DOS last I checked. Unless he “upgraded.” IIRC he prefers the lack of distraction that an internet-capable computer would offer.
Wow, WordStar? I remember that one. Though the memory is sheathed in decades of cobwebs…
Anyway, my coworker asked her husband. He saw it on Last Week Tonight, about two weeks ago.
Film Theorists did a study on just how insane Dani must be, based on the insanity and incest in the Targaryen family tree…

confirmed that season 8 is the last one but there might be a spinoff series
So I got a solicitation to pre-order a 20 year anniversary illustrated edition of Game of Thrones. Sounds nice, but it doesn’t say how much the thing costs.
Out of curiousity I click the link… and the page it leads to still doesn’t say how much it costs. But there’s another link to click…
I wonder how many steps you have to go through before they’ll actually put the price in?
