Apparently showrunners Benioff and Weiss have indicated that after this season, they’ll be down to their last 13 episodes and plan to split them up somewhat like Breaking Bad or Mad Men’s final (2) season - 7 and 6. Though obviously it’s too early for them to be completely sure:

“I think we’re down to our final 13 episodes after this season,” Mr. Benioff said. “We’re heading into the final lap. That’s the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that’s what we’re looking at.”

The trimmed schedule would include seven episodes next season, and six in an eighth and final one. HBO countered that “any conversations about the end of ‘Game of Thrones’ and the number of episodes of future seasons is purely speculative.”

I thought she was spotted on a plane to Belfast, but I might be misremembering.

I never liked Lady Stoneheart, and that storyline hasn’t gone anywhere yet so it’s hard for me to get too excited about it. I imagine it’s gotta be going somewhere, but maybe not if the show leaves it out.

I would not be surprised if they drop it. In the grand sweep of things, Lady Stoneheart doesn’t seem vitally important.
