GOT creators are going to make Star Wars movies
It’s not like it was their choice, the old actor left.
the story now is the Daario actor did not leave on his own, he was forced out .
Regardless whose choice Skrein’s departure was, the show clearly (inexplicably) chose to reconceive the character–unlike all those other recastings. They could have looked for an actor who bore a passing resemblance to Skrein in manner and visage, made him up to resemble more, had him study the original performance, and most importantly written him as a development from that original conception.

No Winds of Winter this year, alas, but GRRM has some other tricks up his sleeve: MSN
Yeah, so? C’mon George, finish what you started! I’ll buy the books when six comes out; I’ll have a reasonable expectation seven will come, then.
It really does seem like he’s lost his taste for the series. Not Westros itself but this particular song of ice and fire.
the story is already being told via TV. Do we need 2 versions of the story?
No, we just need the real one not the fan fiction one.
That series is never getting finished. I give it 20% chance book 6 is ever published.
I’m more around 70% for Winds of Winter, but less than 10% that Martin writes* A Song of Spring.*
I like to pretend that it’s taking so long because he’s writing them both and will drop them both at the same time or 7 soon after 6. And I’m just going to pretend any time he’s said no, that’s not the case, that that is a lie.
Martin sold out for big money. He has other people finishing the story and he’s getting paid a lot for it.
I just don’t buy that Martin’s motivated by money. He has so much already that he literally doesn’t appear to know what to do with it all – he bought the original Robby the Robot prop; he routinely buys property in Santa Fe and repurposes it for charity/museums/animal shelters; etc. I think he’s what he appears to be – an aging, very deliberate and increasingly slow writer who made some creative choices that he’s having a very high degree of difficulty in untangling and resolving.
I will give him points for not turning into Robert Jordan and dropping book after book after book on us ad infinitum.
At this point that would be my preferred outcome.
he could follow the route other authors took and hire a co author who actually writes the books based on his ideas. Arthur C. Clarke did that for the last 3 Rama books.
Yes, and look how they turned out. Better to have no GoT than crappy, ghost-written GoT. (In my universe the books and TV show are completely separate and distinct stories.)
He’s probably looking forward to the prequel series that HBO is working on. That way he won’t have to put up with people bitching and moaning about the changes made from the books since there are no books to compare to.
