I managed to survive another day of irk, although the people who are causing me grief are being retarded children. They wouldn’t even talk to me at the Access to Care brief. Back from dinner at Perkins. We had an awesome coupon for buy one entree get one free! Dinner was tasty and I am stuffed. I think it will be an early bedtime soon.
We ran to Salsa’s for a quick, cheap supper ($20 for 3 of us!! :eek: ) then to Lowe’s for about $1100 of deck parts. Except we forgot the lag bolts - we as in FCD… It took a *LONG *time to drive home because of the load (we even fishtailed once) - we couldn’t go over 40, so we rode with the flashers on. But the trailerload is safely in the back yard and tomorrow, we start building the deck.
Evil weather people are saying T-storms on Monday. We’re supposed to get siding on Monday. I am not amused…

I got a wonderful eval from my boss and had a lovely, busy day at the library. Too bad it was the nicest day yet of the year–70, sunny with a nice breeze. It’s supposed to snow tomorrow, folks. Yeah…

Digusting woman smacking her lips while chewing and licking her fingers–as in down to the second knuckle–while she ate whatever she ate, THEN she got on her phone and went over (in minute detail) every entry on her FB wall for the past few days. And then she mentioned some guy and said “he rules in bed”. At least I think that’s what she said–the train noise was fairly loud by then. She didn’t look skanky at all–she looked like a HS biology teacher. I was not amused.
Fine, I’ll leave the sword at home, but if you can convince him to shave that thing off his chin, swampy, it’s time for a road trip for me. Yow! He’s freakin’ adorable! (Now I think I remember from when he first arrived and noticing the same thing. But it hasn’t changed.)
Three-day weekend! Yay! I need to figure out if I’m going to do anything with it. But not going to irk tomorrow makes me very happy. Though irk is going pretty well lately and all…I need a break.
I am up and decaffeinting but today I have a sore throat and a thumpy head. Not a good start to the weekend when I have stuff to do.
I tried to exchange my oversized t-shirt yesterday but the store didn’t have the right size so I’m going to a different branch today to see if I can exchange there or just get a refund. Whilst on the way back to the station, I went through the shoe dept of one of the big stores in town and picked up these, they will go very well with the dress I bought last weekend. So not a bad end to Friday, but not a great start to Saturday.
Up and showered and about to do a quick grocery run. Plans for the rest of today include defilthifying the apartment and being lazy.
I also have to try on some trousers to check that they go with a top that I got for a wedding I am going to in two weeks or else I have to hunt for a new outfit. Which I really don’t want to do.
Right have to leave the house at some point…it may as well be now!
We’re off to a radio auction today about 1 1/2 hours away from TVLand. We’ve been there before sometime last year. It’s always an interesting time. They’ve got hundreds and hundreds of radios up for sale and a few tvs here and there.
TVMan just got out of the shower so I guess I’d better finish getting dressed.
At least you do those at decent hours, back home they do it at 7 éi ém and walking around town. Since Mom lives across the street from the parish which gets the first and last Station, it means double portions too, at 7 when they start and at 8 when they finish.
I’ve just done what should be my before-last grocery run of Staying On Campus, yay. Gotta phone Mom in a while (I called the Oldsters’ and was told she was in the train), then put my ass into gear and do those subtitles…

At some point I will most likely be all alone as I don’t like to leave things cookin’ (stew cooks in two biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig slow cookers) and plus I can’t see leavin’ to make a 26 mile roundtrip trip out to da cave and back just for a couple of hours. Thus I figure havin’ the laptop will be good.

Morning, all. It’s a peaceful Saturday- Gnat and Mr. Lissar are out in the yard, I’m sitting around eating monkey bread, and a friend is going to bring lunch.
I might get ambitious and go fold laundry, or just read and nap and socialize.
Played bambilance last night. No tale this time, because it wasnt funny enough to make a good 'un. The [del]hi[/del]lowlight was a drunk who cut off about 1/8th from the end of his left thumb with a table saw. :eek:
Herbs, the shoes will go nicely with a dress I’ve already got but now that I’ve been upgraded on my friend’s wedding from just evening to the full daytime event, I think I might have to look for something a bit more “special”, but it will definitely have to go with those shoes!
I have been productive today, went into town and got a refund on a t-shirt that 'im indoors bought for me which clearly won’t fit. Was quite funny, I got as far as asking the girl behind the checkout for a refund, when she said “oh dear, that’s never going to fit. Boyfriend bought it?” so that was quite amusing. After that, I went to two pharmacies and three opticians before I could get hold of the medicated sterile wipes I need for my eyes. Then a quick trip to the bookstore and the toiletries shop for some essentials, and I was on my way home.
This afternoon I boxed up some kitchen stuff and also got rid of two bags of rubbish, then my friend came round and stood on the bottom of the ladder while I put those two boxes in the roof out of the way. It’s starting to look a little tidier downstairs now, but we still have a long way to go.
Just now, I moved everything off my study table and dusted it, then dusted the CD shelves and the bookcases, so I am feeling rather virtuous now. All I need is for Swampy to turn up with dinner, and for Haze to provide the drinks!
