Waiting for it to Get Light in the MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 40 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 63 and N.O.S. for the day. We accomplished all errands and need to be out in public yestiddy, so I foresee this as a day to be in da cave, which is fine by me. I think any need to feed will be via forage even. We could go to the little bar down the street for N.O.L. but that will involve havin’ to don appropriate bein’ about the public attire and just may be beyond at least my capabilities today.

I attempted to post several times yestiddy but kept gettin’ the usual error message, so I gave up.

Miss Owl I told OYKW I want him to keep my cremains in an urn on top of the entertainment center in the livin’ room. That way when people say, “what a lovely vase you have upon your entertainment center widower OYKW”, he could say, “thank you it’s my husband.” He said no. Spoilsport! I am sure you would be fulfillin’ Ruble’s last wish if you did have him shot out of a canon.

I read all but have retained little, so yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins, how you doin’s all around as needed.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all, and Happy Leap Day!

It’s a slug-a-bed day here at FairyChatEstates. I woke early, but played with my tablet till the battery started getting too low. Everyone else is still asleep, including a certain toddler who wasn’t asleep at 4 this morning. She wasn’t asleep loudly!! But all is quiet now and it’s my computer time, so yay!

Cold and overcast and not supposed to get out of the 30s today, but I think it’s the last shot of winter. They’re forecasting mid-60s by Weds! Very weird winter, this one. Still, we’re going to the air museum. The main reason is that they have an E-2 in their aircraft yard and **FCD **wants to get up close and personal with it. He’s working a project for the E-2D and it’ll help him to see an actual aircraft rather than just working from drawing and photos. So that’s the plan.

Other than that, it’s clean-the-critter-fountain-day, and I expect a load or two of dirty clothes will be cleaned. Overall, not a lot will go on here. We don’t know when FCD’s computer will be back - he’s doing a lot of expensive upgrades so he can run the heat transfer analysis, and the parts have yet to be delivered. But the company he’s buying the bits from is in contact with the locals who are doing the work - they seem to be well-coordinated. Meanwhile, he hasn’t got a lot to do, and it’s driving him crazy! Such is life…

Caffeination shall continue. Happy Saturday!

Happy Saturday!

It’s 27 feels like 16 outside, supposed to get up to 36. According to my weather app it is cloudy outside, but according to my windows it a bright sunshiny day.
The park was cold. I thought my toe warmers had shifted, but when I got home I saw that I had forgotten to use them.
No wonder my toes hurt. I could have used some hand warmers too.

Living dangerously today. I had some Jimmy Dean sausage in the fridge, said to use by 2/20/20.
I ate it.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I need to hit the likker sto today. They are building a new, expanded one across the street from the one I go to. Which means it will be right next to the porn shop.

People who viewed this also viewed…
But glad you’re getting into a routine.

: raises hand :

<insert tasteless Brownie joke>

Wouldn’t that be “Up, shriveled, late” then?
:stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Saturday!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasting, dog crate cleaned, sheets and towels in the wash and, once KP is done, I’ll purtify to go buy the groceries that I didn’t yesterday (I made a pot of tea this morning rather than the usual coffee because I was out of milk). I also need to swing by the bookstore for a book for the little heathens. This month’s topic for the grown ups is dying with dignity, so for the kiddos, I’m going with whatever book moves me and design a craft around it (it’s either that or the book would be something the kid-wrangler may not want to answer questions about and little coffins for the craft  ).

The hamsters ate my post yesterday and I kept getting time out errors, so, rosie’s sig to all.

Morning all. Need to get dressed here in a little bit and help pass out soccer uniforms, then check with Furniture row on the last pieces of furniture I’m getting, and then do the Great March Shopping journey. So should be an interesting day. At least the sun is out and it’s 44F heading to 52F today.

Everyone have a good weekend now.

Afternoon.

I have way too much stuff to do over the next week, and should be spending the weekend on skool irk to keep on top of things, so obviously, I have a terrible case of the dontwannas and just want to go back to bed and watch cartoons all day.

Please send chocolate I can use to bribe myself to do things.

I had no idea industrial supplier Grainger sold box graters. When I saw the link went to them, I was thinking maybe a microplane rasp, but nope, that’s Gramma’s old grater there!

On credit card fraud - your bank probably has an option to alert you to any “card not present” transaction such as online, phone, or mail-order. Pretty much any where someone has to key in the numbers rather than swipe/tap/insert the card at a reader. I’ve got my alerts set to ping me on all card-not-present transactions, and any other transaction of $50 or more. They usually come rather quickly - it’s not uncommon for an alert to pop up on my phone before I get the card back into my wallet or before an online order refreshes with an order number and confirmation.

Not sure we needed to know that, unless you’re challenging Swampy for the “King of TMI” title.

Happy Leap day.
I told the Grandwreks it meant they had to Grand Jete’s(ballet leap) outside on the grass. So we spent an hour learning. The lil’wrekker joined in.
They are all astonishingly bad! They got their left feet from the Big Wrek. You think odds would be that at least one could dance. Nope.
Happy Day y’all.

Go outside and Leap!!!

Back from the air museum and from lunch. When **FCD **and I were out looking at the planes, one of the members of the museum came over to talk to us. Turns out he was the XO where I worked in '97-2000! He’s retired USAF, and he pushed hard to have us become members and volunteers. I just might do that.

It was kinda wild looking at the S-3, remembering what it was like being a brand new tech on the then brand new airplane (1974). Most of the equipment I was responsible for was in the starboard aft exterior avionics bay, just behind the fold-down steps we used to climb on top of the plane. Looking at that area, I was retroactively impressed with what 20-y/o me did for a living! Seems like a lifetime ago - well, duh - it was 45 years ago…

We lunched at Red Robin, but now we’re home. I’ve got a load in the washer, daughter is doing homework, **FCD **and Roxy are napping in their respective beds. I’m about to assume the recline position and turn on Netflix.

It’s sunny and in the mid30s but instead of enjoying the day with my horse, I’m at home with a migraine. Got up at 7am, fed the kitcat, had coffee, meditated, and slept on the couch for 3 more hours. My stomach is ick and I donwanna do anything, not eve watch teevee. What a waste of a weekend day.

Good thing I’m under the care of an EP and able to send him EKGs from home.

Was feeling funky, so did a quick rhythm strip and my heart’s going beat-beat-beat-skip-beat-beat-beat-skip-beat-beat-beat-skip…

Wednesday can’t get here soon enough!

I’m going to get this rant out of my system so I’ll be a kinder, sweeter person. Apartment complex management told us a week ago to get copies of our renters insurance policies in by today. I dutifully brought mine in Monday–same policy I’ve always given them. Oh, no, they said, you have to have us as the secondary insured. Huh. Never have before, but makes sense. So I call State Farm. They promised to change that and email it to me, and after three days and another call to them, they did. Only it’s someone else’s policy. Of course, the insurance office is closed until Monday.

OK, rant over. It’s safe to come out, kids.

Beck, since I have no yard, I shall leap in my apartment. Perhaps I should warn my neighbors first so they can secure their breakables.

gotti, that would make it impossible for me to relax. I hope the time flies until Wednesday.

Sari, hope Jimmy Dean behaves himself.

Spidey, my arms can beat your legs.

Not having anything requiring shaving and nothing shriveling except my poor brain, I leave you to your various chores, schoolwork, nappage, etc.

Jeans are all hanging in the correct closets. As soon as the unders finish drying, they’ll be folded and stowed. That will be the end of today’s productivity. I’ve already declared that supper is to come from any of the many assorted containers in the fridge.

I’ve been undoing and redoing a floor mat that I’m crocheting. The yarn is crappy, but it’ll be good for a mat. While doing that, I’ve been rewatching The Tudors. Even if it’s only partially accurate, it’s shown that politics has never changed… it’s still a dirty, crooked business.

You just having a ball with your puns, aren’t you.

Doggio started it.
Gotta look at all the photos from today. I think there might be some really cool ones, but first some time on the sofa with my best (furry) girl.
Didja hear about the idjits who ‘mistaked’ Bernie for Barry… in Detroit? :smack:

Howdy Y’all! A whole lot of nuttin’ has gone on at da cave today. OK, I did manage to put the kitchen trash into the biiiiiiiiiiiig outside trash can and did walk all the way down to the mailbox to get the mail, so I guess that could qualify as sump’n.

Doggio and Spidey don’t get all nuts {N.O.N.) with the nad puns!

Windy and cold today. Watching hockey.

But there was an A&P mechanic crying tears of joy over not having to change 18 spark plugs on every airframe.

I deferens to your vas wisdom.

Spidey, they are Lions fans. Bless their hearts.

Mooooms, the boys are talking dirty. Again!
(Yep, I’m a tattletale:))

The Party broke up around here. People have left me be tonight.
The lil’wrekker is singing at a thing tonight. Most have gone to watch her. I would’ve like to have went.:frowning: I don’t need to be in crowds, tho’ Her BF will record it for me.

Mid-daughter is almost here. I expect another big noisy free-for-all when everybody gets home.
I’m gonna need a vacation after this weekend…oh wait…I’m going to the hospital Monday. Yeah, that’ll work :smack:
Y’all have a good Saturday.

Evening all. Uniforms (over 200 of them) have been passed out (and each player had to be check off, sizes determined and sometimes changed by parents, and we ran out of the Youth Small and Youth Extra Small, requiring a trip to the storeroom (in another park 7 miles away). We had 4 adults and 1-2 teenagers working, and nobody got much of a break; but the uniforms got distributed.

The checked at Furniture Row and got the last two items (kitchen table chairs and a cabinet for things) set for delivery Tuesday. Shopping was a 3-stopper (Wal-Mart for most of it, Publix for frozen stuff, and Kroger for Pepsi 2-liter and Kool-Aid). Still need to stop somewhere tomorrow and get ketchup and a dustpan). Home, put things away and fixed hot dogs with cheese (first time I’ve had hot dogs in many months, just stopped buying them). So tired but all is well with the world.

nellie, just remember that Ol’man Murphy is always around and just roll with it.

gotti, heart going “oops, I forgot” like that is not the greatest thing in the world, Hope Hump day is a good one for you, for now rest!

Feel better soon, wet one. Migranes are not any fun. Ariel will still be there.

FCM, volunteering at a museum can be a lot of fun, especially if you know something about the equipment. If you have the time and energy, I’d go for it.

Becks, my leaps these days can be measured in millimeters. Gravity wins all the time, and I’ve given up the struggle.

Everyone have a good night.
