I hear you on the downsizing. We have to get rid of t least 2/3 of our stuff in this house so we can move to the little house in Central Orygun. 
That’s assuming those morons don’t manage to snatch us into Idaho. We’re a little too liberal for their ‘freedom loving’ ways.

Just got off the phone with SiriusXM customer service. I know they’ve outsourced, and while both people I spoke to had fairly heavy accents, I think I got the gist of what they were saying. Still the connection was pretty bad - towards the end, it was breaking up so badly, I may have agreed to surrender my first-born child. :eek:
It’s insane - every time I get a renewal bill, it’s stupid high, so I call to cancel, and suddenly, they can cut me a good deal. This time, it went from $230 to just under $98. I recall seeing a thread here some time back saying just that - if you call to cancel, they’ll cut your bill in half. Maybe more? I’ve not made that big a stink about it. I really don’t listen all that often, but for under $100/year, I’ll spring for it. I just hate playing that game.
OW, it’s not my business, but do you plan on keeping the cremains permanently? Or will they be distributed/interred somewhere?

I made an application to a job today, at the university. I saw online they had a full time baking position open. I sure hope I hear back from them. It’s M-F, which would be sweet. Three other “baking” positions I saw, at other places, were either part time, or delivery driving. If nothing else come up I’d do delivery, but I need full time work.
To answer the questions above, I have powder and good friends with cannons. 
I also have something else in mind for a small portion but I would not do it without permission. I’m not saying anything more about that unless and until I decide to act on it.
Mooomm, my Sirius XM bill comes due in April, I think I’ll borrow a bit of your strategy and do the same thing and see if I can get a better rate.

Bought another book (second one this week). Guess having all my books sorted has given me the energy to go get some more. Today’s purchase was The Splendid and the Vile: A Saga of Churchill, Family, and Defiance During the Blitz by Erik Larson, who is a very good writer (IMHO). Since I was cleaned up and outside anyway, I ate lunch at Red Robin (Yum!).
But now I’m inside thanking my Edward D. Jones folks for getting me into Annuities last year before this past week’s market slide.
I just had some leftover chicken for lunch, with Tiger Sauce. The kitties were begging, and Mrs. L.A. told them that kitties don’t like Tiger Sauce. I said, ‘I know. It’s like cannibalism!’
She said, ‘You know that Tiger Sauce isn’t actually made of tigers, right?’

Surgical change #1 - they pushed the date back to Apr 28. Dammit. That’s 2 more weeks of pain for my sweetie.
Mrs. L.A. got a call from her credit card company, asking her to verify several transactions. There were charges for places that don’t exist here. She rarely uses the card, and only made two purchases with it recently. I don’t remember the first one, but I remember thinking it very unlikely that someone there would steal her information. The other place was H&R Block, where she had her taxes done. Needless to say, she told the credit card company that all of the charges they were questioning were fraudulent; and the credit card company cancelled her card and is sending her a new one.
Thieves suck. Blurfage. I have a “lie bump” on the bottom of my tongue. Hurts badly. I have sprayed sore throat spray on it, used CBD OIL on it and hubby brought me two different benzocaine preparations for mouth pain. I swear if it ain’t one thing it’s another here lately. Bitch hurts though.
Tonight being steak night, he brought home the filets but we decided to save them for mañana and use up the leftover sketties sauce. I cooked up some new noodles and some fresh garlic bread. Easy. Paper plates even. I am so Tahred. Hubby is way better today. We are experimenting with his meds, that is time adjustments, and think we have found what works best so he is more energetic during the day. I am so tired all the time. Maybe I should visit the doc for a B12 boost. It’s about time anyway for the vampire appt.
Please send good thoughts and prayers that this tongue thing heals quickly. It hurts up into my ear at time. Whining is me.
Evening all. Need to eat some dinner, the Red Robin trip today filled me up good, so it’s only now I’m hungry again. Should probably have had nappage this afternoon, but except for one 3-minute spot, have stayed awake. Grocery shopping, soccer uniform pass-out, and new furniture status is on the schedule for tomorrow.
Having some eye problems, what look like large star-shaped cutouts are between my eyes and the view. Think it’s staring too hard at the monitor and holding/bending my neck in one position. If it continues I’ll get it checked out.
flyboy, have had the same thing once or twice. The credit card companies are getting much better at catching things and I check my accounts on-line at least twice a week. Glad they nipped it in the bud.
Butters, sounds like work, home, and worry about Husband-unit has simply worn you down. You need a vacation, but probably can’t take one. But I do concur with you seeing your doctor.

Moooooom, Sirius was running a $3.99 / month when mine came due, so when I called to re-up, I wanted to pay for a year. The guy told me it would be $119. I told him that he was flunking out of math with me. He gave me to his supe and I got the whole year for $48.88. Unfortunately, when Hyundai replaced my radio, they didn’t transfer it and said they couldn’t. 
metal mouse, given that I’m under 10 years from retirement, most of my investments are on the conservative side. While the bonds aren’t making a ton of money right now, they’re not losing it either.
Hell week is over! I was there until after five this evening (an hour and change over). I’m looking forward a light Monday.
I had nappage today, I wish I had gotten more.
I feel like I am coming down with a cold or something.
I’ve had weird things with my eyes MetalMouse, usually taking a break from the computer helps. If not, you know the drill, see the doctor.

Have we determined if it really is his b-day or not? I thought he said it was a BS date, & I have been known to tell people/forms that mine is Feb 29th, too.

Butters, I had to look up “lie bumps.” I saw that they can be caused by stress. That and your general exhaustion suggest you do need to see a doc. I think two weeks on a tropical beach would do more good, but since that’s off the table for now, a doc is the best alternative.
Spidey, I’m starting to understand the arms race. 
Also, that’s the kind of grater we used to grate parmesan and romano when I was growing up. When the cheese got too small to grate without getting finger slices, the grater got to pop it in her mouth.
flyboy, when my card got hacked the first time, the credit card company speculated that someone at a restaurant I’d been to had one of those devices that capture info when a credit card is swiped. I don’t know much about them. Just throwing that out there.
