I thought about the cee-mint pond but it’s lookin’ kinda stormy southwest of here which is where most of our “significant weather” comes from. No real prediction of rain today but tstorms are known to “pop up” around here. Instead I believe I shall also achieve nappage. Plus it’s all nice and cool in da cave.
Worked out this morning, ribs in the oven. Me and kitty just staying cool today. I’m about to finish the book I’ve been reading this week and have a stack of others to start.

I refuse to use Windows 10. That’s what my mom has and it’s a royal pain in the ass, as far as I’m concerned. I was trying to help her clean some crap off her computer, and the OS gave me more problems than anything else. We hates it we do!!!
Laundry is done. Tea cups and stuff have been photographed and I’m trying to figure out what they’re worth so I can list them for sale. One is marked as having been made in Occupied Japan! It’d be great if I could surprise my mom with a nice check for selling them.
I achieved nappage and not much else. 'Tis 97 Amurrkin out with a heat index of 105 as I post. Inside and cool is the place to be.
I hit the grocery sto, and got some beer.
Supper has been ingested - corn, 'maters, mushrooms, and 'lope. Dishes are done, kitchen is mostly tidy, and I guess my weekend is done. Dammit.
Rule of thumb with respect to Windows:
XP=worked without too many headaches.
Vista=kneecapped systems.
Win 7=not bulletproof, but worked well.
Win 8=coded by monkeys with Turrets syndrome.
Win 10=see above, oh and you won’t need Media Player, your gonna get updates whether you want then or not, and we are spying on you.
If you have 7, stay with it. Got 8?(poor sap) Upgrade. Been Win10derized? look up how to neuter the spy shit.

I have Windows 7, tried several times to download 10 and each time it failed, so I am quite happy to keep my current OS, it works just fine.
As mentioned yesterday, I did go see two movies today. “Ghostbusters” was a lot of fun, I actually think it might be a somewhat better movie than the original, and it spreads it’s laughs around instead of concentrating them with Bill Murray. Recommended.
“Star Trek” was disappointing, it had its’ good moments, but the plotting was a hot mess, the ‘up-tight camera shots’ stunk, and logic was not apparent except in Mr. Spock’s act. See it if you must to keep your Starfleet credentials, but no reason to see it more than once.
Shopping was not completed, so we’ll see if the popcorn and soda will hold me or if I must once again forage for sustenance.
We are retirin’ to the boudoir to watch teevee etc until sleepy time. OYKW has to irk in the mornin’ poor thing and I have to, well don’t have to do nuttin’ but I do have plans.

Irked 6 hours today and with help, beat that database into submission. I just have about another half hour of irk on it, after a training on Wed, a webinar, then importing in demo mode first then, if that works importing it into the live mode. First,I have to convert the excell sheet into a csv file. I think I can do it. Fingers crossed.
Since I irked on the weekend I am taking off tomorrow on a Moanday :eek: cause my lead is on leave Tuesday through Monday. Gotta grab the chance while I can.
Came home to a nice dinner, ribs, squash, sweet tater, sautéed turnip roots. Dishwasher moved from the middle of the living room floor to the corner of the room but still not installed. Baby steps.

Kennywood got hit with so much rain that they closed the park early. That sounds bad but its really good. The rain cleared enough that they still ran our Exclusive Ride Time and did it at 7pm instead of 10pm getting me home much earlier.
Went for a mediocre brunch with mediocre service. We shall not return to that restaurant.
Then we went for a long walk. It was hot, but fun. Then ran some errands and hid inside. High was 108 today! <faints>
