Waiting for the MMP

Lunch was good - sammich, half a cucumber, and a metric buttload of sweet cherries. This has been a really good year for cherries, especially at $1.99/lb! YUM!

But now I must get back to work. Alas. Three anna half hours to go.

I was thinking Doggio, I never had the police show up at my door when I lived in da hood.
‘Vinnie and Guido’ showed up once, looking for a friend of Sah-son’s father. That’s a whole story.

Except for one time and the poor cop.
State Trooper.
He was just about to knock, standing at the door with his hand up, when I opened the door. I was running late for a gig, dressed up in my belly dance costume, with a sparkly cover up over it. I had no idea anybody was there so it gave me a start, and before I could stop him, my doberman jumped up, put his paws on the poor man’s shoulders, with his nose in the man’s face.
To his credit, he didn’t even flinch, but his eyes sure got wide.
He was looking for a previous resident of the house.

It was never a dull moment around there.

One of you is!

nettie, I didn’t know that BK took intertoob orders.

sari, my mom broke us kids of the I forgot habit on upstairs stuff young by sending our happy asses back up for the item.

Moooom, is the giant meteor bumper sticker in reference to the upcoming election and based upon a Bernie sticker? If so, I know the designer. He’s a local who is among my group of heathens. He’s also a heck of a bass player, software engineer and has a wicked sense of humor.

I’m beginning to get things caught up now. I won’t be out early on Friday, but I won’t be behind either.

**Red **- thisis the Giant Meteor I ordered. I got it thru Zazzle.

Red - it’s a little hard to send him back upstairs when I can’t remember what it was I wanted.
I have an excuse though, I’m blonde and prone to senior moments. Neither of those excuses can work for him.

I finally talked with the college, his tuition is paid, but he needs to sign and return his awards letter.

Howdy Y’all! I enjoyed some quality cee-mint pond time this afternoon. I could get use to this. Dindin shall be cubed steak 'n onion gravy, corn, rice, leftover peas 'n butterbeans and cornbread left from yestiddy. I just had some cheese ‘n crackers cause I was feelin’ peckish. Still got plenty of room for dindin however.

The itchies can stop any time now…

At least I have an evening with Weird Al to look forward to on Sunday.

I’m jealous

I want to be retired.

Got up early and met the movers at the house to finish loading the trailer. It’s done! The UBF people have picked up my trailer and we’re moved out! I have a few things left in the garage that I kept back to use when we move up north and then wait for our stuff (air mattresses, etc). Other than that, it’s done! Huzzah! :throws confetti:

Congrats, sunny!!! That must be a relief!

We let Kevin cook supper. I had steamed shrimp and my fingers smell of Old Bay - yum! **FCD **got his usual fried chicken, but he only ate 1 wing. He’s been in pain for months. But his surgicals are scheduled - Aug 4, first thing in the morning. Here’s hoping 2 weeks from tomorrow, we can get him fixed once and for all.

Never mind… deleted a line here.

 Does he know or will you tell him you’re going for a ride?

Your bumper sticker is one of Ben’s.

sari, blonde with senior moments; are you me? :stuck_out_tongue:

gotti, I saw Weird Al at the Ryman last year. He puts on an awesome show.

Haha, Red! Can’t believe I missed that…

Howdy Y’all! Dindin got cooked and et and the kitchen got cleanded. Go Me! All is good. Looks stormy over to the southwest. I hope so, cause there’s where we get most of our rain. Be nice to go to sleep to the sound of rain.

I got stuff done today. Guess TVCTPMO was out sick today. I’m clearin out my kitchen, since I’m having my old washer/dryer serviced tomorrow.

So do I, but the “jetting down to the Keys for the month” retired, not the “drinking a 40 of OE behind a dumpster” retired I could afford right now.
And I’d love to hear how the cop told that story at end of shift. “Y’all ain’t gonna believe this shit!..”:D;)

red, she told him he gonna go get “tutored” on some new software.

Is anyone else as hot as Kansas, with temps in the upper 90’s and even 100? It’s so humid as well.

I’m walking my dog very little, just until he does what he needs to do, then we go home.

I’ve finally got off of my butt and scheduled an appointment with an optometrist. I know my vision has changed but I’ve been too lazy to get new glasses. Hopefully in two weeks I’ll be seeing better.

So, ummm, the dustpan & brush to clean up all the confetti everywhere is in the trailer heading north, huh? :smack:

Ruble, iffn you don’t have plans, why don’t you take Bessie for a ride to Morgantown, VA & help out with flood relief.
Just tell OW it’s for charity.

Howdy. My new dishwasher is setting right in the middle of the living room floor. Hubs will eventually get around to installing it. I did manage to get my car cleaned late this afternoon as it rained off and on all day.

I guess it’s back to irk for me tomorrow. Mooommmm didn’t FCD just have surgery just a little while ago? I really hope they do get him fixed up this time. All those surgeries are not good.

Considering that several of live south of the Mason Dixon, sweat’s a way of life for us from April through October. :stuck_out_tongue:
