Warehouse 13 - Season 2

For a good laugh, check out Claudia’s eyes next week in the locker room. Priceless!!!

Mere moments before that scene, I turned to my wife and said, “He’s having a paranoid delusion of some sort…”

damn good question - but then the eps would be alot shorter wouldn’t they?

Well, he is the Sovereign of the Guild of Calamitous Intent, so whatever it is, it’s likely to be pretty flamboyant.

Loved last night’s episode! Except for that whole Artie re-growing his appendix every year so he could crush on the doctor thing, that was kind of creepily pathetic and stalkerish, not how I see Artie at all. I can totally see him as a walrus now, though.

How long do we think it’ll take Claudia to graduate college?

About one semester with the right artifact.

Did the teaser for this episode give away too much?

I was thinking that Jaime Murray, who plays H. G. Wells, is a younger version of Liv Tyler, with a cooler accent, but I checked and she was born only 20 days after Tyler.

I don’t think the teaser did but I’ve been catching all the episode commentaries and Youtube videos of the cast from Comic Con and interviews and whatnot and they’ve really been throwing out lots of hints about where they’re going this year. I’ve heard Saul Rubinek (I’m madly in love with Artie, BTW) say a few times that Artie’s not sure if H.G. Wells is a good guy or a bad guy. Also at some point an artifact is supposed to make Artie fall in love with a totally inappropriate person. I’m hoping it’s Pete. 'Cause that’d be hilarious. And we’re supposed to find out where the hell Mrs. Frederick comes from this season, too.

I’m going to guess, “Quite a while”. She’s better stuck back at base, or only tagging along on a mission as the occasional forensics/technical wizard. She isn’t big, confident, nor old enough to be a full agent; her and Artie mesh well, so keeping them together is best; and for her to become an agent of the Secret Service, she’d need to go off and attend Secret Service training.

Now, that’s not to say that the writers won’t choose to ignore all these points, but one would hope that they at least change her personality enough to seem like someone people would take seriously before sending her out to fight villains.

The most likely option would be to make her an official agent (using sleight of hand to get around sending her to Secret Service school), but then still keep her principally in the Warehouse – in which case, there wasn’t any real practical effect of her having graduated university nor having become an agent. If they do that, since she’s a genius, they could just as well have her power through all the exams and graduate by next week, or do it normal and graduate four years from now. But I think they’ll wait until they can do it as a season opener, at least. That way they can launch her into her new not-any-different role from the start.

I wonder if they’re writing out Leena. She doesn’t seem to be necessary.

I was surprised to find out that the actress who plays Claudia, Allison Scaglioti, is only 19 years old which is around her characters age. I would have guessed she was like 24 in real life. Usually they get actors in their mid-20’s to play teenagers so thats cool that she is around that age.

She was recently interviewed on The Nerdist podcast and based on the interview it appears a lot of her own personality is injected into her character on the show.

Leena’s back! They didn’t do a very good job hiding her baby bump. I just finished listening to the podcast commentary for last night’s episode and they said that besides being pregnant while they were filming this season, she’s only contracted to do 7 episodes out of this year’s 13. So let’s see, she was in the first three, and then last night, and she’ll obviously be in the Christmas episode, so we’re only going to see her a couple more times.

The way Myka and Pete left the bloody chunks of a dead guy in their hotel bathroom makes me wonder just how much power Mrs. Frederick has to smooth things over. We’ll probably find out later she’s the sole source of every government cover-up conspiracy theory that’s ever existed.

I wish they’d done more with the idea that inexperienced little Claudia was the only fully-functioning agent available for a good portion of the episode, what with Artie acting all gaga and Myka and Pete having xTreme identity crises. Still, I thought it was a fun episode. And I’m madly in love with Artie.

Just posting to say that I love the show. It does get a bit silly at times, but with the characters and story lines, I think even that works for them.

carry on.

Christmas episode?

Yep! Judd Hirsch is playing Artie’s father.

Paula Garces sideboob!

LOL I pointed out the same thing to my friend when we watched it.

Is it just me, or has Pete gained a little weight since the pilot?

She strikes me as a hybrid of Chloe and Kari…

I think so. My wife and I commented on it- in a good way, though, 'cause he doesn’t look overweight, he just looks… normal. He’s not the stereotypical ripped-abs male lead.

Wow, and he’s only 13 years older.

I agree Pete is a bit heavier, but he does look normal.
