Ah, yes! I saw it at the SXSW film festival here in Austin…very good! I will be seeing it again THIS VERY NIGHT at the Alamo Drafthouse…bonus: it will be preceeded by clips of his standup routines…yay for me!

Missed the beginning, and didn’t know what to make of it, or whether it was funny, for about the first 60 seconds that I watched.
By the time it was over, I was in tears, and my sides hurt. It was one of the funniest comedy concerts I’ve ever seen. And he did an excellent job of making his other-side-of-the-pond stuff still hilarious for an American audience.

Seriously, I love Eddie Izzard. He is possibly the funniest comedian I have ever seen. I keep missing the “Dressed To Kill” show, and I cannot find a copy of it anywhere, amazon and ebay included. This makes me very sad.
So help a Doper out, where can I find a copy in the US?

Fuck! Super fuck! I don’t get HBO2! And British videos won’t play on American VCRs, I believe for the same reason DVDs can’t cross international lines- the whole PAL/NTSC(?) thing. Man. This really eats.
It is harder to find Izzard’s two earlier shows on video, as they were taped and released in Britan. However, I was able to purchase them mail-order in North American format, I think the company was located in Vancouver but I can’t remember the name. I believe there are four available on video, and we have them all! 
Do a search, if you can’t find a vendor I can try plumbing the grey matter and see what pops out. I think I found them via a link at the Eddie Izzard web site. … Actually, I just went and looked at the site, here is a URL for North American-format videos:
