So instead of killing Uncle Andy or any other rabble rousers, why weren’t they just “banished” back to the sleep tanks? Tell the townfolk they were in a secure ward of the hospital or prison or something.
Pilcher specifically said they were using fear to keep the town in line - nothing promotes fear more than a couple of very public, very brutal, executions.
The fact that we’ve now seen the morlocks attack someone without Burke witnessing it seems to confirm that the situation isn’t something that is going on in his (Burke’s) head.
Why did the Abbies eat the guys from the truck but basically left Ethan alone with just a scratch? Are they being controlled?
That is strange isn’t it?
I don’t think so. The Hero is able to get away with more than other characters.
The morlocks were first pointed out to Burke by his son, so that was already confirmed from the start.
which is really odd given thta they were inside the fence and then left …
I suspect that the odd selectivity of the abbies is based more on plot necessity than anything else.
Burke was injured outside of the fence. I think he fought them off, sorta, and then Pilcher rescued him.
I don’t recall that Burke and his son have had an explicit conversation acknowledging that they both know The Truth. At one point I was hoping they would gang up on Mom and convince her, but no.
Simster is right. They were inside the fence in an early episode. I had forgotten that. I guess that was before the Sheriff was killed, so Security and the old Sheriff handled it.
The preview seems to imply that we’ve got a bigger breach problem next episode.
I don’t understand why they/Burke didn’t grok to the fence issue as soon as they realized the truck was stolen.
Does Burke receive any help from either other townsfolk or the security forces on the mountain? Fence integrity being everyone’s number 1 priority, creepy teacher’s game plan notwithstanding, I felt like throwing things at the tv during that whole bit. She can encourage teenage pregnancy after basic security is tended to.
Sherrif was most definitely dead at that point, as Burke had already shot him point blank.
Secodldy - dude busts a camera - ‘big’ security is
a) just been thru a screening talking about how important wathcing the fucking cameras are
b) knows there are more bad folks on the loose
and yet - no one reports that for hours (did the dude say he found it like an hour ago, or thta he showed up for work an hour ago and ‘just’ found it).
With all the cameras - they can’t figure out a dump truck is not where its supposed to be?
They were inside the fence dragging Sheriff’s dead body to outside the fence.
That’s when I posted the slow-motion video capture showing it was humanoid, not a dinosaur.
You’re right. Shocking! An inconsistency!
Are they definitely wrapping things up or is a renewal for another season being tossed around? What is the official word on this?
Matt Dillon has said that he has no plans or interest in doing a second season, and for all he knows there won’t be a second season. In his opinion, these 10 episodes are a completely self-contained story with a proper ending.
I’ve seen speculation that a second season would have different actors and characters involved in a different storyline.
Prediction: This season will end with someone getting contacted by someone outside Wayward Pines. Cut to credits.
Has the nurse done a complete reversal from terrible villain to nice lady? Did I miss something?
It’s from a series of books. 10 Episodes, roughly 3 episodes per book… I think I mention this upthread. The show (I’ve read on IMDb) is following close but not exact to the books. If they write more books maybe more episodes but the story thus far is going to be one season.
