Ye gods, here I am posting beneath my post of last night! At any rate, I am up and caffeinating, having eaten a bit of (gasp!) donut for brekkie this morning. I do plan on having a better brekkie when I get to work, really.

St. Pat’s is havin’ a yard sale Sattidy. I am pretendin’ I don’t know about it. I dislike yahd sales intensely and have no intentions of bein’ a part of it. I am a bad person.
Yay for the cruise MOOOOOOM! Cruises be fun though I don’t know if I could take 12 days of one. Five or six days seem to be just the right amount. I want to go on another one. There are rumblin’s of doin’ one to celebrate when several of us turn the big 6-0 a little over three years from now.
gt sometimes ya gotta be the big mouth that says back the truck up people! I can be that when needed.
Somehow I find this faintly arousin’. 
Time for more caffiene and to seek out brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then purtification for irk and the big certification test this afternoon must commence, alas.

So I spent yesterday throwing crap way. I half filled a Dumpster:eek: with 13 years of assorted crap. It wasn’t even hoarder-like, just stacked neatly on shelves and in closets:eek:. Work today.

'im indoors has time on his hands and now has his holiday-planning head on. He has come up with a plan that involves us buying a few extra airmiles points thingies for Virgin Atlantic so that we can buy premium economy tickets as we already have some offer thing for a free cabin upgrade so he thinks by buying PE tickets, we can upgrade to first class.
So far, so good. But where do we want to go? He has various ideas for a US trip and has a fancy to go to LA because there’s a Cirque du Soleil show he hasn’t seen. then there’s a possibility of going from there to San Francisco by train. His other thought is to go to Vegas and then over to SF/LA but that looks virtually impossible by train. Anybody know any routes that would work for that?
I’d be happy with a week in Bognor Regis at the moment…

Mooooom, when my mother retired in '95, she took my sister and I, the spouses and three grandkids on a 4 day cruise followed by a week in Disney World. Cool moms rock!
The last of the anticipated nice days here for a week or so. Off to the gym to sweat with the soccer moms, grab some groceries then spend the afternoon lying in the sun with a book and some beer!

OK, I’m getting tired of getting jerked around. According to our CO, the RIF has not been approved, the gaining command will not take us till JFCOM gets all that straightened out and started, and the official transfer of ownership has been slid to 1 July. If they decide they’re not going to do a RIF, I can’t retire because they won’t be offering the incentive pay and I can’t retire without it. So here I am, all psyched up to retire, and it may not happen. I am NOT amused. Dammit! :mad:
On the plus side, our 2 PM meeting was changed to 9:30 AM so I didn’t have to stay late. Yay! So I’m home.
I’ve been researching stuff about the cruise and it’s very confusing. I need to call my mom and get some experienced answers. I swear, Royal Caribbean seems to do everything they can to keep you from seeing dollar amounts. grrrrrrrr My mommy will tell me, tho.
That’s all for now. Chickie strips and pasta and some sort of green veggie for supper, with local strawberries for dessert. Yum. Plus Thursday is over, so it’s almost weekend. Yay!

No, I was halfway up the hill in an automatic car and the Act Itself only lasted about two seconds. Then the birds just stood around looking confused. Silly birds.
I’m alive. I wish I could find a graphic design job so I’d stop daydreaming about quitting and doing freelance (which I can’t do right now because I don’t have any time in the evenings and I don’t want to work 40 hours and then all weekend).
