Anyone watching this? I couldn’t locate any threads on it, which surprised me, but maybe the single word search wasn’t effective.

I’m a fan of the show. But I must confess, i only started watching it because Mary-Louise Parker is such a hottie.
There was a recent thread about WEEDS (thus, I didn’t miss the first show of the season last week) and yes, I have been watching since it first came on the air.
It started off a little slow in the first season, but the show has grown and seems to be getting better with each episode. I hate the theme song, and hated that song when it first came out decades ago. Other than that, I really like the show a lot and the storyline seems to just zip along with some nice surprises here and there.
DMark zips and surprises is a good description. I like it too. Didn’t realize the new season had started already. Did I miss anything critical in the first episode?

Hate HATE HATE the theme song and not even Elvis Costello can change that.
I’m waiting for Haylia to find out Conrad is going into business with Nancy so I can watch her go all medevil on her ass.

I have heard from more than a few people that I look like Mary Louise Parker. Not sure how true that is, but it makes for an even more interesting viewing experience.
I enjoyed the first season. Since I don’t have Showtime, I’ll have to wait for season 2 to come out on DVD.
I like the theme song and when I was watching the first four episodes of season 2, it took me a while to realize that each time it was different. (I’ve got a friend who somehow got the first four episodes pre-air). This season has some interesting turns coming up. I love all of the music on this show, whoever is picking it is amazing. I just ordered the Jenny Owens Young CDs after the first ep of season 2 (“what the fuck was I thinking?..” was the refrain on that one).

Nancy marries the DEA agent on a quicky trip to Vegas after he admits that he knows she’s a dealer. He does that to prove that he wants to date her and not be a narc and so that he would never have to testify against her. Celia decides to run against Doug for city council and her husband loses his job
‘What the fuck was I thinking’ was spot on and so funny I laughed out loud.
Even though I find Weeds sadly hilarious, I hardly ever laugh out loud at it. The only other time I remember it was when the brother went on his tirade about having to go to Iraq and Kevin Nelan was being his usual clueless self. That scene had me in stitches.

I was at a friend’s house and he had a DVD of the first four episodes of season two. He got them from his friend (I dunno if they’re circulating on the internet or what because the quality of the picture wasn’t good).

I just caught up with this show this weekend and MAN is it good. I was glued to the entire first season and what I could find of the second.
The plot twists are great so far. I looooove the writing and the acting for scenes at the dealers’ house. Those scenes really seem to flow. Heck they all seem to flow.
Congrats to Kevin Nealon for doing something worthwhile! 
I am constantly in awe of how ballsy Nancy is. I think I have a heterosexual woman-crush on her. She IS really hot.
So is Conrad. Rawr.
I’m glad that Celia and Dean aren’t TOTALLY unlikeable characters. They go up and down with me.
Looks like I found some “pre-air” copies of the show and watched them (ugh…I wonder if seeded by Showtime…?) so I’ll have to wait for S02E05 to come out in September before I discuss the plot any further, or else I’ll end up spoiling.
I can’t resist telling you that Silas does something absolutely insane and evil in episode 4, though >:-)
Ah, the heroes of the internet. First we got the Family Guy movie and S4E1 months before their official release, and now the first 4 episodes of Weeds S2.
I love what they’ve done with the theme song. I hated the original shrill-old-lady version, although I got used to it by the end of the season. These are all so much better.
