Well HELLO Dallas!

[With kudos to Dolly. I’ll only twist this a bit. I think.]

It’s so nice to be back home where I belong! So…

You’re looking swell, Dallas,
I can tell, Dallas,
That you’re still glowin’, you’re still growin’
You’re still goin’ strong.

I’m so sorry that I went away. :stuck_out_tongue:

But now I’m back and tomorrow will be brighter than the old days. Yep, think I’ll be stayin’ where I’m at. Because it does look great and the lights do twinkle! I promise I’ll hang out for a while.

At least, until Albuquerque comes callin’ somehow.

I’m singing all of the above due to finally being able to move. To leave east Texas and go back to where I started as a wee lass. (Or would that be “twee”?) Like a turtle, and just as slow, I’m taking my home with me, then starting over. Eek! If anyone would be so kind as to throw a kind wish my way, I’d be forever grateful and I promise good service to those who might frequent any future restaurants that I’ll serve.

I just can’t wait. ::: sigh ::: The only drawback will be remaining Dopeless for a period while I get all the kinks worked out. Which means I’ll miss everyone (with a few notable particulars) and all the goodies here. Can someone email me any really good stuff to catch up on in the interim? I hate not knowing what I won’t be around for. Probably all the exciting stuff. :frowning: Anyway, I’m looking forward to whatever is around the corner. Hopefully that’ll bring some normalcy. Perhaps there’s knowledge to be shared on what to do (and not), where to go/see/etc., anything I should check on. I will be thankful for any help, in any way.

See ya Greenville! We’ll call the past instructive and pretend it’s all been fun.

::: faithfool amblin’ on down the road completely in justa couple days now and hangin’ her head from smiley overload :::

I was just there last weekend, the only restaurant we ate at was Texas de Brazil in Addison (didn’t want to go all the way to downtown to eat at the one there). Nice, relaxing weekend. I like Dallas now and then.

I’ve never ate there, but I have been to the Magic Time Machine that’s close by. Love that place, if for no other reason than to listen to people screaming “Orgy!”. I’ll have to go try that though. I adore eating at places that are new to me. Thanks for the mention.

Yep, today I got electricity and water hooked up, plus my place leveled so it won’t be like one of those Crazy Houses at a carnival. Tomorrow I start bringing up boxes ('cause with all the remodeling that had to be done, it’s now empty of general stuff). I simply cannot wait to make the transition complete.

Yippee!!

Good luck in your new home! I actually like moving. Always an adventure. Plus, it’s really warm in Texas today. You ought to be all sweaty and huffin’ ‘n’ puffin’ by… oh… 10:00 am!

Thank you! Fortunately, my air conditioner has been fixed and I’m surrounded by trees, so I’m hoping that’ll be enough to keep me cool and out of the poor house when my electric bill comes due.

Now I just get to worry and obsess over finding a job. Anyone got an inside track with a Chili’s or something?
