We're late, we're late! A Monday Afternoon MMP

Bambilance shift last night. Nobody died.

Gragh.

I wish the semester was over. I also wish I had a maid to clean up after me. Or at least somebody to keep me company while I do it.

I was at the store last night and I passed the ice cream and I said to myself, said I–why don’t I ever buy ice cream? So I did; Breyers (because I don’t “do” HFCS). It was on sale–2 fer 1. So I got vanilla (to go with the punch I make for holiday breakfasts–never mind) and Rocky Road (one of my favs). I now know why I never buy ice cream

The 1.5 quart container of Rocky Road is now gone. And I am the only one who ate it.  and one last

Obviously, ice cream is crack to me. No more of that… :frowning:

ice cream is my crack, too - but B&J’s since I feel less guilty scarfing down a pint than a quart. (they’re all natural, no HFCS also)

Had a lovely afternoon out and about in the gorgeous weather - Now it’s clouding over, but that’s okay because I’m inside with a kitteh on my shoulder.

Picked up a KFC Boneless Filet, Original Recipe, for lunch - it has a much better chicken to batter ratio and was quite Teh Yum.

Ice cream is my downfall, also. Especially Chocolate Moose Tracks… <pause for drool>

Much got done today. We got the deck stairs railing installed - what a fiasco that was!! And we latticed in the area under the stairs, after putting down landscaping cloth and dumping some granite gravel on it. *THAT *was a chore…

I bought some Dusty Miller and some Marigolds, but didn’t have time to plant either. Tomorrow - shouldn’t take more than an hour, if that.

Done for the day. After I do my requisite surfing, I’m going to crash with my latest afghan. And go to bed early. I’m pooped!!!

Howdy Y’all! It’s my weekstart!!! YAY!!!

Quick driveby. Worked. Napped. Ate steak and sallit for dindin. Now I gotta go gussy up a bit and head over to the churchhouse, yet again. Tonight is the Easter Vigil. It begins in an hour and when it’s over it’s officially Easter and we drink champagne! It’s good to be Whiskypalian.

Later Y’all!

Where’s that sniper kitten? I’d like to aim it at Dell.

It’s funny - about a week ago, I was thinking how my PC was getting slower and that maybe it was time for a nuke and pave. Or the weird term that we used about ten years ago - it needed hosing.

Well, the spidey senses were right, and my PC is still hosed. My boss finagled a loaner PC. It may as well be hosed as well. It’s apparently got indigestion from trying to eat too many patches at once and now it’s a non-booter.

I just need to make liberal offerings to the PC gods that my data can be miraculously recovered.

First soft-serve tonight at the local seasonal walk-up place. A twist in a cake cone. Mmmmmm

gotti - one word - “Mac”

and cheese!

Home from a glorious Easter Vigil service. It is now officially Easter. YP said so. We made with much Alleluiaing (is too a word!) during the Eucharist. Everybody had bells but me. I got a tambourine. Much better than a bell anyday IMO. Anywho, the idea was ring your bell (or tambourine) during “Alleluias”. I tambourined with much gusto. It were fun. Plus we had champagne afterwards. It were fun too!

Ok, time for da bear to go beddy bye.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Waitjustadamminute -------- we get egg coffee and lime Jello. I wanna switch teams at least enough to come to your church on Easter. Even McKeesport (center of the honk-off for younz) ain’t got it that good!!!

For those who know what I’m saying "indeed. For everyone else, I hope the next year comes to you easy and leaves few marks on your memory that you don’t cherish having.

I loved the breaking news one, as well, rosie.

I’m home from our Easter Vigil as well. We had a bunch of allelluias, too, but also lots of music that’s only done once a year, during the Easter Vigil. It was almost 3 hours long, but it was great. Of course, now I’m tired, but not sleepy.

Guess I’ll read for a while and hope to get sleepy…

Hugs all…

At home, I have a Mac and Time Machine.

At work, well… the odds are heavily stacked against having a Mac. Last week, I looked at the network stats and we have about 323,000 computers running some form of Windows XP and 88 Macs. I had a giggle when I saw that we have more mainframes than we have PCs running on Windows Vista.

I’ve got this 2yo computer, and I didn’t want to ship it to Spain.

Plan 1: find a charity that would take it. There are several in the area which want computers, but there’s things like “if it’s less than 15 units, bring it in yourself”. I don’t have a car, so I filed that possibility in the phonebook under taxis and went looking for

Plan 2: anybody want a 2yo computer? Gaming rig, not by current standards but since it was pretty cutting-edge back then it’s equivalent to what the stores sell now. No, it’s not a laptop.

And I did find someone who wanted it, yay!

Only now she isn’t answering her email, so I don’t know whether she’s actually taking it, whether I should put it in a taxi and bring it to one of those charities, or whether I should ship it home.

Anybody near Edinburgh want a 2yo desktop computer? No keyboard, the keyboard I used was Spanish and went to a friend. The monitor is a cheapo and needs restarting occasionally (the monitor, not the computer).

If she’s indeed having an attack of “it’s too much, I can’t accept it”, I wish she’d told me sooner… I would have put it up on gumtree or something.

Tambourines and champagne, swampy? That could almost tempt me into religion!

So…last night was date night. We went out for curry (yum!) then walked into town and went to a pub (also yum!), and went home early because he was feeling a bit bloated and the beer wasn’t sitting too well with the curry. We ended up watching 2012 and then some rom-com called “The Ugly Truth” which was bearable but not great, and drinking lots of vodka. Having run out of film, we switched on the xBox and played though some MP3s. I believe there was a decision at some point to go and see Motorhead, I went to sleep on the sofa around 5am, and am now awake contemplating a day of garage-clearing at my friend’s house. Think I might need a fry-up first!

Hmm…I think that qualifies as a date-night success.

Up - awake anyway, not entirely functional. I was really beat last night, but once I got into bed, I had a tough time falling asleep. Lucky for me, I guess, Jeff Foxworthy was on TV, and that put me right to sleep. I woke up several times during the night, I think. Then about 5:30 I just gave up and got up. Of course, the rest of the household is asleep.

Daughter and SIL have a friend staying with us for the week. Since they only have a couch downstairs, she’s crashed in our guest room. I don’t think she’s going to be happy when I get up at 5 tomorrow and Scruffy sits in my room barking till I take her out. Oh well, we’re not the Holiday Inn here.

**FCD **was feeling pretty good last night, but I still made him put his lidocaine patch on his back. It’s been helping him sleep by reducing or stopping his pain, but for some stupid reason, he won’t put it on unless I make him do it. I swear, he’s going to be the worst patient in the world… How can an otherwise intelligent being be so stoopit?? Don’t answer. I know what it is - testosterone poisoning. :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Easter!! You know what that means, don’t you? Tomorrow, you can buy lots of candy for half price!!!

Meanwhile, I need caffeine…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ on a really beautiful but pollinated Easter Morning!

HAPPY EASTER !!!

There’s a ham a’ bakin’ makin da cave smell yummerific! After church there shall be an Easter Feast at da cave. We are providin’ the ham, champagne and wine. Others are bringin’ all the go with stuff. There shall be twelve of us to feast and make merry. I really like my big roaster oven/slow cooker thingy. It’s better than heatin’ up the entire oven and thus kitchen and bakes stuff like ham and turkey so well. This is, btw a fresh ham, so it should be especially nummy.

I needs to go find sustenance for rumbly tummy. I can’t believe OYKW is not up what with the ham smell and all.

I went to sunrise services at St. Bluegills this morning, but was roundly mocked.

I’m up, caffeinated, and off to be deheathanated. DOGPARK! and laundry will follow. Gordie is running around with a (stuffed) severed cat head in his mouth.

The Canes lost last night, so no playoffs this year.
