We're off to Florida, just in time for Katrina!

My husband Tom and I are leaving for Daytona Beach tomorrow morning! Hopefully Katrina won’t be much of a damper. I think we’ll miss most of the rain.

:: crossing fingers ::

We have a beach front room with a king size bed on the boardwalk. I’m here at work with nothing to do and virtually pacing. I’m leaving in an hour for final preps and packing.

Woo-hoo! Two weeks of sun and fun! And Tom’s family is there, too.

So, all of you send evil thoughts to kill Katrina in her tracks. The whole state of Florida will thank you, I’m sure.

The way things look right now Katrina won’t have any effect on Daytona. Our west FL dopers may have it kind of rough though. Have fun!

Katrina is due to roll right over my town. So I will definately be trying to divert it.

Well, it may be a tad rainy for a few days but the rest of the week should be typical. Sun early with possible afternoon showers. Enjoy!

Bah. We’ll have some gusty rain and that’s about it.

After the fun time we had last summer, we’ve become hardened to Cat 1 storms. We need at least a 3 before we start hitting Home Depot for plywood.

God willing, Daytona won’t feel much of anything.

you may get some wind, some rain, some clouds, and some hellacious waves, but nothing to worry about.

We have some wind and rain in West Palm right now, but nothing major. The storm is supposed to make landfall south of here. My big concern is the potential for flooding – I’m supposed to be moving on Saturday!

Now that the storm’s shifted to the south it’s almost guaranteed that I’ll have to go to work tomorrow. I was hoping for a day off.

Are ya staying at the Adam’s Mark?

Make sure to have a bite at the Ocean Deck and a beer at Berncastle’s.
And play some Galaxian at Walk-in Charlies.

Fort Myers / Naples is in the path?
