A Memory of Light, the final book of The Wheel of Time.
It’s being finished by Brandon Sanderson, and I’ve read some of his books and really liked them (Mistborn in particular). And whatever you might say about the slow pace and general crappiness of books 6 through 10, the high points of that series are VERY high.
