What are you paying for milk and gas?

I paid the same for milk at Publix in Kissimmee, FL today, and paid $3.79 at Target for an equivalent amount two weeks ago; at that same time, milk was $4.19 per gallon at Publix.

Gas around here was $3.92/gallon today, and will most likely be rising soon. The Citgo near our house gives cash and Citgo card discounts, but doesn’t advertise the credit/debit price, which ended up being about 8 cents per gallon more than the advertised cash price. I’ll keep buying my gas from Hess, whose prices are the same for debit or credit.

Auckland, NZ:

Store brand “lite blue” milk (equiv. of 2% I think), 3 liters = NZ$ 4.58 = (approx) US$ 4.53 / US gallon.

Regular (91 Octane) is around NZ$ 2.16 / liter = (approx) US$ 6.40 / US gallon.

$3.89 for gas, though I could pay $4.07 if I wanted to (HA!)

$2.99 for milk, though Marc’s was having a sale, 2/$5. Don’t know if it’s still going on… I could pay much, much more at the regular grocery stores.

Houston, TX

$3.50 a gallon for generic whole milk at Kroger
$3.85 for 87 octane at Valero near my house

Yeah, prices are high here. However, a decent red wine is about $10/gallon, so there is an upside.

Am I seeing downward movement in gas prices, or is it my imagination? I passed a station this afternoon (Gas Stop) with 87 for $3.80 (!!!) Also, at a Valero station today (not the one I usually go to) I paid 3.81.
