Purple. and Fuschia. and jewel tones in general. and black.
no yellow. no white, if I can help it, and pastels only in emergencies
Thanks, twicks, you da best!! I would love a bright fuchsia fleece robe - mine is light blue fake fur, sorta - very soft, tho.
When we lived in Virginia, we had lots more color in the house - garnet on the living room and the bottom of the dining room, topped with garnet, gold, cream, and black stripe pattern wallpaper. The entry/stairwell area was a medium colonial blue. Daughter’s bedroom was a bright light green and the guest room was dusty rose. The master was cream - we never got around to painting it, and the family room was papered, I think, in a pale multi-color pattern.
When we first painted our living room here, it looked like the inside of a pumpkin, but we tired of that color pretty fast. It’s a warm putty color now, which we like much better.
Our cars tend to be rather boring also, except for my Scion, which is Salsa Red! The Miata is black, the truck is white, the Jetta was gray, the Crossfire was black, the Aerostar was dark green… daughter had a lime green beetle and now a magenta Fiesta. Wonder who she gets that from.
Nothing much else going on here. My first day of retirement planning training went pretty well - I got some good website resources that **FCD **and I can use to assist our decision making. One of the most telling things of the day was when he asked us what we saw as our retirement. I have no idea! Seriously - what the heck will my retirement be? Apart from sleeping in, I mean… we shall see. Tomorrow’s training will concentrate on estate planning and financial planning.

Other synesthetes may disagree, of course. But that’s how I see it.

Oh, wait, you mean the color of our clothing? Oops, sorry. I’m wearing orange and yellow today.
My fleece bathrobe is somewhere between sky blue and turquoise. It was cheap and it’s cosy.
Gnat is still alive. He is Sullen Emo Teenager Incarnate and I may kill him this week.
God made kids cute show you DON’T kill them.
OTOH, now you know why some animals eat their young.
Howdy Y’all! Home from an ummm… innerstin’ Vestry meetin’. Topics ranged from a cloged (clogged?) terlet in the ladies room to endowment funding. Thrown in the mix, our St. Patrick’s Eve church celebration this Wednesday, our celebration on Sattidy, Lenten services, Holy Week services, Easter services, financial statement, building maintenance issues, plans for the up coming 50th Anniversary celebration this Summer, repositioning where the Ushers stand on Sunday (in the Nave instead of the Narthex), yahd maintenance contract and moving after church coffee time from the Narthex to the All Saint’s Room.
And people say we Whiskypalians don’t know how to have a good time.
‘Twas an action packed one hour and forty-five minutes meetin’!
On that note I think it’s beddy bye time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Malleus:
Cool, topic, FCM.
My favorite color range runs between fuchsia and maroon. (I would also like twicks’sbathrobe, please.) I also like a lot of shades of deep turquoise and royal blue as well. I don’t decorate a whole lot in fuchsias etc. but tend to wear colors in both ranges as well as gray and black.
My house is painted beige on the outside (which will be changing to a light shade of yellow/cream later this Spring, I hope) and off-white on the inside, except for one accent wall in the kitchen which is light blue, and my room, which is extremely light lilac with a very dark lilac wood floor.
I’m hoping to change more of the interior over the coming year, but haven’t decided exactly how, except for the part where I want to take up the rest of the carpet (my bedroom floor is painted because the carpet went away a couple of years ago). I’ll be painting the floors as a first step and eventually putting another layer of hardwood down with some type underlayment. The current floor is a single layer of hardwood without any type of subfloor. Outside of my room, most of the accents are green or deep turquoise/teal.
One of my friends hosts a mosaic workshop every year. I’ve made two mirror frames so far and it’s remarkable how similar my color choices were. I’ll be making a lazy susan this year and I don’t foresee a lot of change in the palette.
Wow, I sure can talk a lot about color.
That does sound like a fascinating meeting, swampy. Up there with the 1 1/2 hours I spent with auditors this p.m.
Nat is not allowed to behave like a teenager. You may tell him I said so. Also, perhaps he would like to spend time with my sullen emo teenage niece.
Glad the training went well, FCM.
Am I the only one who is disappointed that limegreen does not wear lime green?
I am tired (due to leftover daylight saving time adjustment syndrome) and not looking forward to a day of wall-to-wall meetings tomorrow.
Off to bed…
Hugs.

Malleus, I was surprised to discover that not everyone could taste pain (salty, bitter, sour) and that not everyone thought letters and numbers were gendered. The crossed wiring thing is weird.
Right. Bedtime so I don’t kill my older son tomorrow.
Worked, bought beer and TP, more work tomorrow.
Yesterday, I was wearing blue shorts and a white T. Today (having not yet washed after my run) I am wearing a bright pink T with black cropped running tights. The rest of my world is (apparently) attired in desert camouflage. Sigh …
Another early morning visit for me. I just finished a PB sammich and I’ve got a little more Diet Coke to swaller. Breakfast of champions!!!
We got two checks yesterday from our former electric coop in FL - a whopping $34 total for our 2010 shares. We missed out on about 5 years of checks because I forgot to send them a change of address and they suck $1 per month that the check isn’t cashed. By the time I remembered, most of the money had been sucked back. Fortunately, $30-ish a year won’t keep us from living indoors or eating regularly, so I’m not too bugged. On the other hand, this’ll get us pizza a few times when I don’t feel like cooking.
And I’ve got a date with my car guys on Thurs afternoon for an oil change. Have I mentioned that I love my car guys? Because I do. Anyway, my Scion is due for its 85K mile service - and I’ve had it just over 4 years. Hope I can keep it happy for at least 2 more before I have to replace it - heck based on the luck I had with the Aerostar, I could keep this one going well into retirement. Except I want something a wee bit bigger and more comfy. But for now, I’ll stick with what I have.
**Dotty **- you’re certainly living in an exciting part of the globe. Hope you and yours stay safe. I’m not too politically savvy nor do I know more than just basic stuff about the middle east and north Africa, so I’m somewhat perplexed about what the heck is going on all of a sudden. OK, I’m also at a disadvantage in that in the US, the news is dominated by celeb inanities rather than a look at the rest of the planet… But dang!!!
As for today’s colors - black jeans, black shoes, black cardigan, cream top with brown floral pattern on the front. Very boring today. But comfy.
Good morning all! I’m up and caffeinating and have had a sausage biscuit for brekkie (nom nom!).
Dotty, it’s so good to see you back at the MMP; your family and friends remain in my thoughts.
I’ve got shades of red on today - dark cranberry pants and a dusty rose top. I had forgotten that I do have some reds in my wardrobe, apparently.
Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.
Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN Looks to be another loverly day here in south Jawja with a high temp hoverin’ around 80 Amurrkin.
dotty hope things are goin’ well and that y’all stay safe!
I have not decided on today’s outfit. It will involve khaki pants as always. Not sure about the shirt yet.
Sniff I am so proud! Sniff
LiLi in a couple of years Gnat will head off to kindergarten or some form of edjukashun. Just keep thinkin’ that.
Ok, I need more caffiene and brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Blurf.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
My clothing could easily end up goth, if it wasn’t for assistance received from the US flag.
When I can decide on coloring for houses, I get furniture in natural colors (wood, some metal, some glass) and brightly-colored walls and furnishings. I like being able to change the look of a bedroom by changing the bedspread and putting away the throw rug.
Wearing blue jeans and a turquoise and purple paisley top today. I look more festive than I feel. I still have the headache lurking, and I feel a little queasy. But I’m here at work, and I will attempt to focus. At least I slept some last night.
C’mon Firday…
Up, caffeianted, off to irk. Hockey tonight at the Bistro.
Good morning! Most clothes need to be laundered, so I’m wearing hubby’s too large, gray sweatshirt. I’m a fashion plates!
Hi Dotty! I can’t imagine how unsettling it must be with so much turmoil surrounding you.
On a lighter note… I now have 6 stitches in my back and no good story to go along with it. Doesn’t seem fair.
Was your stuffing starting to show?
Anyone who has/had a dog that destroys teddy bears knows of what I [del]speak[/del]write…
make one up. How about, “I was kidnapped by an enemy nation’s spies, and they discovered the location of the microchip. Then they drugged me so I couldn’t reveal their location and dropped me off back home.”
