What Color is your MMP?

State of Emergency declared here in Bahrain, to be in force for 3 months. Still waiting for announcement from commander of Bahrain Defence Force of details about curfew, martial law rules, etc.

Oh, Dotty. Praying for you and your family.
We’re up and have eaten and dressed. We didn’t kill Gnat. He woke up screaming at 12:30 because he wanted a bath and wouldn’t calm down. I believe he got spanked. He wasn’t scared, he was just angry that he couldn’t have a bath, go downstairs and play, and have morning, and he was being a brat.

He’ll be in school in a few years unless we homeschool him. Right now eight hours away from him sounds good, but I remember him being nice and hope he improves.

You don’t need a dog for that, I had several cousins who behaved a lot worse than any dogs.

Good vibes sent thereaboutsish —> which is more or less where Bahrain is from here.

Paging Nooner

Any comments on this story, since it happened in your neck of the woods?

My wife would blame me no matter what the real story. Maybe you should blame office politics?

The snake was envious of how she could flick her tongue?

Good to see you pop in, Dotty. How’s Noor? We haven’t seen pictures in a long time. Hint, hint! Definitely keeping you all in my thoughts.

There’s a woman in my choir who always wears black - pants, shirt or turtleneck, and shoes. But the she has something very colorful on top, like a tunic or sweater or scarf or pin or whatever. And she looks amazing. I wish I knew how to pull that off. (And could do it without constantly being covered with cat hair.)

My chocolate pecan pie with the graham cracker crust went over quite well at work yesterday. As did dinner of Cajun chicken pasta last night.

I decided yesterday that I have to take up running during this in-between season. It’s too warm to ski and too cold, wet, and muddy to cycle, and I really need something to do on the off days when I don’t go to the gym and use the elliptical. So I alternately ran and walked yesterday, running as much as my non-running body would allow. And now I’m really really sore! I am so not a runner. As soon as it’s nice enough to bike, I’m stopping the running!

I see colors for certain words and letters. B is blue, for instance, and M is brown.

Well, then, welcome to the synesthete club.

Home, trained, and definitely not ready to retire. But I have a lot of info and a bunch of websites, so we can get started, then we’ll need an estate planner and a financial advisor. And a fireproof lockbox.

I warmed up the leftover lasagna - **FCD **didn’t want to eat, so daughter and I had some. She’s got doggie training class tonight and I’m going to try to finish her afghan.

That’s all for now. I’m ready for Firday.

If you looked in my closet you would find every color imaginable in there.
Unfortunately for my wife’s sense of style, i pick what to wear according to what I have clean that is the most comfortable.

Today I’m wearing black jeans, dark brown shoes, and a white T-shirt with a graphic on the front of a dog riding in the back of a pickup truck.
Anybody who is interested can see it here. Second fron left on top.

For those of you who believe in prayer, I would be pleased if you would pray for my niece, who is in the hospital with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. I’m sure she’s gonna be alright, but we’re a bit worried.
Thank you.

Home from work and all wore out! laughs Seriously, I am worn out today. I’m noshing on some crackers and cheese but am trying to hold out for dinner tonight, which is pot roast in the crock pot with cranberry sauce/gravy. Yep, and I read about it here, in one of the crock pot threads. Just the pot roast and a can of jellied cranberry sauce, cooked in the crock pot on low for about 8 hours. We’ll have mashed potatoes with it. I’ll let folks know how it turned out. Nom, hopefully!

Howdy Y’all! Home from irk and fed. We had leftovers from last night. I also went by the sto’ on the way home and bought a smallish corned beef and some cabbage for Thursday. One must have that on St. Patrick’s Day after all! The corned beef is simmerin’ away as I post. Tomorrow night we have soup and sammich at the church house prior to our St. Patrick’s church service, so I decided to do it tonight. I like to slice it cold and then reheat cause it slices better cold. I’ll steam the cabbage and some new N.O.T. in the broth on Thursday. Oh and I have a loaf of Irish soda bread. NUM!

Herbs do let us know how the crock potted pot roast turns out. It does sound nummy. If’n it is I shall make it soon. How could roast beast and cranberry sauce be bad, right?

dotty prayers and good thoughts for you and your family. Please keep us posted on things as you can.

Bumba prayers and good thoughts headed out for your niece. Plus, I want that tshirt. Tres Chic!

LiLi I’ve heard of home school “socialization” groups around here where parents take turns takin’ the kids to do community stuff. IMO, it’s as much givin’ a needed break to the parents of home schoolers as it is “socialization” for the home schoolers.

Ok, off to do other stuff.

Later Y’all!

Merrylande is weird. Five days or thereabouts of winter left, and a Good Humor Ice Cream truck just went by my house. :dubious:

Moooooooom, the Vunders just gave their seal of approval to Bear Creek Open Pit Barbecue.

Well?

I fear she was overcome by its nominess.

Howdy all! Dindin shall be grilled pork chops, rutabagers, peas, oven fried chic thighs for the dog and some boiled shrimp for the cat. Yes, we are nutty. We do love our pets.

Long day at work for me. I work on the Navy base managing three facilities. It is budget time so I worked on that some, paid some vendors, answered a million phone calls, dispensed meds for the MWD’s. One clerk is on leave for two weeks so intern is filling in for her; not what she came here to do.

I wore jeans, blue shirt provided by MWR and black flats to dress it up a bit. insert grin. We are very casual here and I have an hour commute each way. At least it is a pretty drive. We are in the Keys.

Hubby saw scratch and dent Dr. today for a blood stick to check rat poison level.
All is well on the heart front for now. Thanks so much for the support and prayers are out for all the sickies and Rosies sig for all.

Loving the Dope. Would love to post photos of dog and cat but alas
I don’t know how. Stuffed

No embedded photos. Must post links to Photbucket or some other photo hosting site. If you the Tapatalk app for iPhone you can upload photos from your photo library and they host them.

Culinary Boy got a job! He’ll be doing housekeeping down at The Place That Employs Spaz (and now him)!

Yay for Culinary Boy Spaz!

Stuffed except for the rutabagas (ick!) sounds like a good dindin for you and the aminals.

BBBobbio I’ve been hearin’ “Turkey In The Straw” since mid February.

I saw Liz and Ard today. My porch lizards mean Spring done sprung!

Yay CulinaryBoy!

Well, next year Mr. Lissar’s sensei gets saddled with Gnat once a week or more- he’ll be starting class when he’s four. I should look into Rec centre programs for him, too. He has playdates (I loathe that term) and stuff, and we go to the local drop-in centres. He gets some child-interaction. Of course, for real socialization when he’s school age we’ll lock him in a closet and beat him up for his lunch money. Just like middle school.
Kids in bed. Gnat isn’t dead yet. I need to pack Mr. Lissar’s lunch and then collapse.

huh. We went there once and found it to be eminently forgettable. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.

Bed time. I’s tired. Hope I can sleep thru the night…
