What did you have for lunch this afternoon?

Chicken and rice soup - 220 Calories.

That’s it.

Trader Joe’s mixed greens-cranberries-blue cheese-candied pecans salad. Plus some crudites and various sweets from an office birthday party.

Pork loin, peas and macaroni & cheese. With a half can of diet lemonade.

This is pretty much exactly what my 1-year-old niece eats for lunch but uhm…she doesn’t live here nor do I ever eat lunch with her. I just happen to have the taste of a 1-year-old I guess.

Living up to your Doper name, I see.
Chick-fil-A sandwich with fries.

Braised Mediterranean pork chop(tomatoes, onion, garlic, olives, golden raisins), , orzo and sauteéd veggies. Fresca

Canned chicken and dumpling soup

PB & Rasperry Jam on honey whole wheat and a honeycrisp apple.

Kung Pao shrimp over steamed white rice, a spring roll and a green tea from Panda Express. It was pretty damn good for fast Chinese food.

Turkey sandwich from Subway, along with the classic chips and a drink.

I had a single serving microwave Velveeta! It was the pinnacle of perfection this afternoon- sodium-rich fake cheese goodness.

What I have every Monday for lunch <or, at 8 in the morning, what some might consider breakfast>:

Posole. Lots and lots of posole.
Mmmmmm.

Potluck at work as a goodbye party for one of my coworkers, so even with a nasty cold, I stuffed myself. Three smoked pork spareribs, some taco meat with guacamole and cheese and onions and sour cream (no shell or tortilla, although they had them), crab and artichoke dip with fresh veggies, and a slice of cake. I avoided the Ecuadorian rice, black beans, mango habenero chicken dip, spinach dip, and several other desserts.

Leftover sirloin steak, pasta and corn on the cob.

I spent the day out driving with a friend. We had lunch at WaWa (a regional gas/convenience store chain). I had their Hot Turkey Bowl (turkey, gravy, and stuffing in a bowl with a couple of tablespoons of cranberry sauce. As fast food goes it was pretty tasty and also cheap.

Fortunately there are no WaWas close enough for me to obtain one of these very often (I also believe it to be seasonal for them). Tomorow I return to my carefully counted 1800 calories a day with not too much fat and a lot of vegetables.
Oh, and about half a pound of residual Halloween candy.

No wonder I wasn’t hungry for dinner.

Chili and cornbread, left over from last night.

Nothing. Unless I’m working, I don’t typically eat lunch.

This week I’m eating up the leftovers of the soup I made Saturday night. It has sweet potatoes, apples, beans, Portuguese sausage, etc. It doesn’t have a short, snappy name, but I’m thinking an apt one would be “Fart Mix”.

Yesterday I had chicken with creamy rice and mushrooms. I’m not sure what I’ll have today; I have leftover rice and mushrooms, fried rice, and mac and cheese in the refrigerator to choose from.

Chicken salad - chicken crumbed with lemon/pepper seasoning, salad leaves, cherry tomatoes, red onion, capsicum, with a splash of honey and mustard dressing.
And a packet of salt and vinegar crisps.

Leftover pork country rib, carrot and cauliflower stew, with rice, courtesy of my wife. Awesome!
