I know he had a history of asking stupid questions easily answered by google but what was the final straw? Anyone know?

I didn’t know s/he had been banned. Usually when there’s no announcement it’s because they’re a sock.
I see nothing in his recent postings that would necessarily result in a banning, so I’m assuming either he was recently discovered to be a sock puppet or he just registered a new sock of his own for whatever reason.
Considering that people seem to be confused about both, maybe diggleblop and Ammonius are one and the same?

diggleblop was banned because I jumped the gun. I thought there was a consensus when, in fact, there was not. I have lifted the ban.
