What fruit is in your cottage cheese?

I was watching Family Feud and this question came up and I was a bit surprised by the answers that “America” picked.

In the poll are the answers given by the contestants on the show in no particular order. Pick which is your go to fruit or the one you go to the most. There is no “other” option so if your go to isn’t there then please pick what would be your next choice.

Mine is pineapple. I always have a couple of cans of chunked pineapple in the pantry for when I get a hankering for pineapple. So I’ll throw a can of that into the cottage cheese.

Slight hijack: I, too, was watching FF last night (marathon of it on the Game Show Channel) and one of the top answers made me wonder too.
It was “Name someone who you would not want to have caught you in a lie”. The top answer makes sense, but isn’t the one I thought would easily have been the top answer.

For yours, I said “Peach”…although Pineapple seems okay too. I have never heard of Banana or Pears in cottage cheese.

This. I won’t eat either if mixed together.

Usually I just grind in some fresh pepper and maybe a dash of Tony’s.

Normally I use the small cups of fruit cocktail with cherries. Right now I am using watermelon and cantaloupe since they are in season but most of the time it’s the cocktail with cherries. So none of your choices work for me. Well, I guess I could have voted cherries, but I don’t really like them alone, only with peaches and pears and stuff.

So, what was the top answer on FF? And, Idle Thoughts, what was the top answer to your question? Come on guys; complete information!

I actually prefer paprika [hungarian half sharp] but will use either the diced peaches or diced pears from the individual snack packs. Sometimes I use splenda and a dash of vanilla to make mock ice cream.

I voted strawberry, but any fruit is good in cottage cheese. I like to throw in some chopped nuts as well.

My go to is mandarin oranges, but strawberries happen a lot in the summer.

Canned pears is my number one choice. Then blueberry and then strawberry.

I love fruit, and I love good cottage cheese, with pepper. My dad always had his with ketchup, salt and pepper, or hot sauce, so I never had it with fruit as a kid. I find the thought revolting.

I prefer my cottage cheese plain these days, but when I was a kid my mom would often serve it to me with half a canned peach on top, so that’s the option I chose in the poll.

The only fruit I have around at the moment are jars of pitted Polish cherries. Due to commitments I haven’t had any fresh fruit in the place for weeks.

I voted pineapple. But I much prefer savory with cottage cheese. Pepper/pepper sauce. Or on a salad with some bleu cheese dressing.
