Last year there was a bitch and a secret project stuck in between the commercials for Degree anti-perspirant. Is that plot over with and to remain unresolved?
If it’s the plot I’m thinking of they wrapped that up. It was Frances Fisher playing the bitch and she was attempting to destroy a bunker-type area? Is that the one you’re thinking of?
From wiki’s list of Eureka episodes
8 (33) “From Fear to Eternity” Eric Laneuville Thania St. John September 23, 2008 (Fall Finale)
A doomsday weapon built in the abandoned military complex is discovered, as is the secret Thorne wants to stay hidden - she’s 107 years old, real name Mary Perkins, and was involved in a pre-Eureka research project that developed the first atomic bombs (using radioactive material from meteorites). Meanwhile, Jo and Zane get stuck together, literally, and Zoe’s life is imperiled by the aging syndrome that killed Mary’s colleagues. Allison is found to be pregnant with Nathan’s child. After Jack lets Thorne go, General Mansfield tells Carter that his services are no longer needed by the town of Eureka.
As an aside, it was announced at the Eureka panel during the San Diego Comic Con that the show has been renewed for a 4th season of 22 episodes. (The network has decided to refer to the episodes currently airing as ‘season 3.5’. Go figure.)
They also called Colin Ferguson in Bulgaria where he’s filming some movie or other (at 2am his time) to wake him up and have some fun with him.
The video of the panel just got posted to Syfy’s website today along with other Syfy panels from SDCC. It’s fun to watch with some interesting stuff mentioned. The special SDCC ‘teaser trailer’ for the rest of this season is also up there somewhere.
Damn. How did I miss that episode?!
Also worth noting - if you buy the Season 3 DVD set (which was just released) the ‘extras’ section includes a scene that was cut that appears to have been a filmed-but-discarded alternate ending for this episode. (or, at the very least, a sneaky plot complication.)
